saiper
Can anyone recommend a product that I can use to restore the faded plastic and rubber on the exterior of my car? I occasionally use Back to Black, but it's effects are temporary at best. Is there anything else I can use that offers a more permanent solution? I was considering painting the areas, but I'd rather avoid doing that if possible. Cheers J:)
Dave J
Baby oil is pretty good and I've heard that peanut butter apparently is good, personally I like baby oil as it makes my hands soft and it smells nice :-)

saiper
Peanut Butter I think I'll go the baby oil route, if only because my neighbours think I'm odd, and smearing peanut butter on my car might lead to me being sectioned. mrchic
I have some AutoGlym Bumper care which is pretty good It contains cleaning agents so its better than just dressing the plastic. I have tried the peanut butter once lol
ilogikal1
Peanut butter works for removing stains from plastic trim. GTechniq C4 for the trim. As for cleaning, an IPA wipe-down will suffice before C4. The rubber will benefit from being "fed" periodically to keep it at it's best, so Einszett Gummi Pfledge for the rubber a couple of times a year. Payco
Autoglym bumper gel is different class. Brilliant on the surronds around the mirrors and window pillars...
