TOM'S_ZED
Just discoverd a broken brake line on the front right side of the car. It's the rigid pipe which goes from the caliper to a connector block where it joins a flexi pipe. My question is does the hell kit replace this pipe or is it a Nissan only part? Or is there an alternitive way of replacing it. Pictures of the culprit below . Many thanks Edited April 25, 2013 by TOM'S_ZED
Watshot
My understanding is that aftermarket 'braided' hoses bypass this hardline and screw directly to the caliper. You could also have a length of hard line made up to fit without having to visit Nissan. You can even get DIY hard line kits if you plan on doing a few, although that's probably more for the restoration enthusiast than a one off repair. TOM'S_ZED
Cool think I'm going to braid it then if someone can confirm that's how they fit
cs2000
Just two bolts iirc (and obviously a brake bleed afterwards). There may even be a group buy going on somewhere on here for some HEL lines. And yes Watshot, you are correct in your assumption. No idea why they fitted hard lines anyway, stupid idea really... EDIT, GB link is here, ends in a few days. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/70069-hel-braided-brake-line-gb/page__st__20#entry1051006 Edited April 25, 2013 by cs2000
