sjcdeans
Was going for a wee drive the other day, where i decided to stop at the fishmongers for some fish (well Duh). So i drove home and eat the fish like its main purpose. Now my car stinks of fish! The bag was not leaking or anything, just my car has a horrible odour. I've hoovered the carpets, cleaned the leather, and aired the car. Once closing up i've even soaked the car with odourcon10 everywhere, on the leather seats, headlining dash! And it still stinks!!! ARGGGGHHH Any tips? Now their is 3 things in life that smell like fish!
peteman35
You sure no fish has escape under the seats, wedged in somewhere. if not you could go for a odor bomb. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dakota-Odour-Bomb-Fogger-Car-Air-Freshener-Neutralise-Odours-NEW-CAR-SCENT-/120965556190?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Car_Care_Cleaning&hash=item1c2a1be7de As far as i know they fill the car and are ment to get rid of all the smells Worth a try? ChrisS
Put a bowl of spirit vinegar in the DRIVERS foot well and leave for 24 hours or over night. I say DRIVERS so you remember to remove it before driving. I gets messy if you forget.

ilogikal1
If all else fails, activated carbon should absorb pretty much any odour.

JetSet
You think fish is bad? I knocked over a pint of milk onto the carpet in a Ford Escort, cleaned it up best I could but within a couple of days not only did the car stink but a load of maggots and bluebottles emerged from under the seat, absolutely disgusting . Pete I did that in my old fiat when milk bottles were glass 2 in a bag behind the seat - no maggots but the smell was for weeks!!!
