amstrange1
Whoops! Stone chipped paint and the metal's rusted away underneath? Bit shocking that it's done that - could've understood it if it'd been clouted loads.
JetSet
That's incredible . Pete
z350convert
What a pity Nissan didn't use stainless steel. Anyway I got a good second hand one from a member who had changed his to a baffled one. Have drilled a few more holes in the plastic under tray in case water was pooling in it. Wasso
Dripped? Looks like it could pour out of that hole. Can't believe the rust on that. Maybe it was driven without an undertray for a while and was exposed to the wet??

Sam Mcgoo
There has been a couple that has failed like that recently. I looked at mine last week and it is definitely in need of some attention. Its a Dec 04 with 29k miles and looks in a bad way. I hate to think what some of them are like out there!
evilscorp
How much oil had you used 'topping up' before you realised?

z350convert
Hardly any really as I have only had it a few weeks. It was seeping and pooling in the undertray. The hole appeared when I got it off and pressed it gently against a screwdriver. Had it got any worse the oil would have emptied in minutes. Second hand ones are out there. New ones are sill money for a bit of pressed rubbish. How much oil had you used 'topping up' before you realised?
cs2000
I feel compelled to go and check mine now. Never seen a sump rust through, must have taken a whack by a rather large stone at some point to chip the paint and expose the metal to the elements. RobPhoboS
Checking my one on the weekend, although I'm pretty sure it's just my rocker covers that need replacing at some point this year.
