Av8er
If you want to ladies and gents, you can always drop me a PM with your number and a time to call you and I'll happily grab you a quoation. Always good to talk to someone who owns the same car as you. (In relation to the below post) ETA; I work for Flux on their quotations team, I originally started on the modified and specialist car team working with JDM imports, modified cars, rally cars and show cars, so I have an understanding of customers needs when it comes to modification cover, import insurance and high performane vehicles. Although I would like to stay being considered as a member of the forum opposed to an insurance representative Edited April 22, 2013 by Av8er

Sadly this means I can no longer assist in insurance quotes and due to my current activity, not will I be able to answer any queries related to that industry. Apologies

I'm currently with Adrian Flux and the price for my insurance with them (supercharger mods declared) was cheaper than my renewal price from my old insurance company for a standard Zed. Always worth ringing around come renewal time for the best price but hopefully I'll be sticking with them again providing they beat the competitions prices. alan_b
Not impressed - just spent 1 hr on the phone trying to sort cover. To switch my main policy back to my old daily driver was going to be an extra £85 compared to the Z (even though it was cheaper at renewal) then to have a second limited milage policy at 5k a year for the Z was working out exactly the same as what I pay now for a 15k policy, with my 24 year old partner on it and and I had to have a black box fitted?! matt3579
pretty sure they make it up as they go along, been with them for about 3 years and always been pretty good had my st, the rx8, and 350 with them and always came up cheapest. if they wernt the cheapest they wernt far off like £50 or so and you can talk them down by that much quite easy, last year i paid £1200 got sent my renewal for £1475 ...... so umm passed on them this year and got it for £870 with elephant, everything all declared. coldel
Every person is unique, I think that's what frustrates most people and why sometimes things do not make sense but it only takes a single post code letter or a model type on your car to throw things out. You cannot produce a costing model which takes absolutely everything into account, on the whole the models probably work fine in 80% of occasions and the rest you get strange things happening (including super good cheap deals as well as stupid expensive ones). Most of the time these insurers are just the brokers, they are not setting the prices, they are getting the cheapest from the suppliers they have available to them. We all forget that these are companies that are trying to turn a profit, if you ran the business and you found that 50% of customers took the first price offered and 50% took a discounted rate when they bartered with you, would you just offer the discounted rate off the bat to everyone? Just to say, I am not an insurance agent, I just wanted to give an alternative perspective and 'walk their shoes' version to consider before we move into 5 pages of just mob based insurance bashing
W8BGS
Just clicked through the banner for a quote, find it strange the list of mods is so small, so all but one of mine are listed as 'other'
TT350
Odd how some of us get cheap insurance with them and others, myself included, can't even get a quote from them.
Wozzy
I've been floating between Adrian Flux and Sky Insurance on my Cliosport for years, Sky won't insure me on a Zed and Flux just came in with a great price so hopefully be the owner of a zed Sunday
sisson18
Just obtained a quote from Adrian Flux. They wanted over £2.2k compared with my current policy at 1k. Well that was a waste of time on the phone!
