RS8055
After spending a decent amount of time on the Zed yesterday afternoon cleaning it, I discovered the problem with my exhaust (stock), and it is the connection (flange) between the backbox and centre pipe that has broke. I genuinely would like to think about an aftermarket system, but can't afford anything too pricey... and welding it up might be a no-go, because it looks like it's been welded up before! Only issue with me getting an aftermarket exhaust is that I require a TUV approval certificate on purhcasing it (as a legal requirement for Luxembourg registered cars in terms of modifications). Any help/advice would be appreciated. Cheers, Ryan

RS8055
Thanks for the reply Steve. How much is the Invidia cat-back? I am currently inquiring about the Buddy Club Pro Spec Cat back from a company in France which is nicely priced at 819€ (around £700). Does anyone know if I need a full system? Or could I just change one part?

RS8055
Thanks for the advice. Couple more questions if you don't mind... 1. How easy is it to fit the exhaust yourself for someone who isn't particularly experienced such as myself? 2. Is there any benefit to having a true dual (like the Buddy Club) opposed to single backbox (Invidia)? Btw, absolutely love the look of the titanium endings for the Invidia Steve! If you have the ability to get under the car and have the tools to remove and fit the exhaust then it can be done and some members have down it on here. Although I would always recommend getting a garage to fit it for you, it will more than likely save you time and you can be sure it's all fitted correctly. The Invidia is a true dual exhaust because it uses an X pipe creating a dual pipe throughout, rather than a Y pipe which goes into one centre pipe, then into the rear back rear silencer. Having twin pipes throughout makes a true dual system the buddy club only consists of a Y pipe, one centre pipe and dual silencers. A true dual is supposed to give more power gains as the flow is less restricted with the X pipe compared to the Y. Have you heard the buddy club? It's very loud!
RS8055
Ah okay. Haven't heard it in person, no... but the note I'm looking to go for is a deep throaty noise. Currently with the stock system (as it's blowing) - not using the backbox, I measured it yesterday at 103dB... I don't mind it, but I'm sure my neighbours hate it! What would the shipping be for the Invidia to Luxembourg though? It's a pretty large package so I assume not cheap!
CrumbMC
If you go for the invidia, make sure they fit it like this and not like this: I stole these pictures from Patch's post on another forum but the garage that i got to fit mine made the same mistake.
RS8055
Thanks CrumbMC! Very useful and potentially a bullet dodged for me! Definitely something to look out for!

RS8055
Thanks for the video addition, BM! Nice! Any recommended things to accompany the Invidia Gemini cat-back? Popcharger? HFC? I'd probably do it in stages tbh (as cash is not something I'm particularly flush with right now).
RS8055
Update on this. Bought the Invidia Gemini cat back from Steve 350z and had it fitted by Sly at Kaizer motors yesterday. Sounds lovely! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
