dave_c
Is it possible to make the 350z beep when you lock it? Or open both doors at once instead of double clicking unlock? Also does it have a total closure function? I have a 2003 GT UK car
The Bounty Bar Kid
Sorry to piuggy back on your thread but mine opens and closes on single click. Is that just cos it is a HR???

Yes, and as far as I know you can't make it beep etc unless you get an aftermarket alarm of some sort

dave_c
So I'm stuck with double tapping unlock to unlock the passenger door then?!
amstrange1
I'd like to know if it's possible to change that too. On lots of VAG stuff it's possible to change the body controller setup to tweak things like that - has anyone ever asked a dealer if it's possible to change? Beau
My golfs like that, but some people have changed the settings to make only one click open both doors. I think they programmed the key fob somehow... but I have no idea how you'll go about doing it on a 350z. Guessing it's the facelift models, as my pre 2005 unlocks both doors with one click
Fodder
You can change it on a facelift UK DE that one click opens both but can't make it beep. On my phone or I'd search for the process....
Stutopia
Hold both buttons or 3 seconds or maybe 5 seconds? Sure I read it on the Zed Facts thread or similar.
Watshot
Key is the same for all models (U.K). Handbook tells you how to change from only opening drivers door to opening both with one push.
cs2000
Yep, I believe its facelift only, hold both buttons (with car locked for 5 seconds, this will de-activate the anti jacking feature (having to press unlock twice to unlock passenger door). Again, facelift only, no total closure setting as far as I know, but pressing and holding unlock for 3(?) seconds drops the windows down. Sadly none of these work in my pre-facelift model. The ECU did change from one to the other so that's prob why.
AMT
Who wants there car to beep?... Wouldn't that be annoying lol And what if you want a 'silent' exit from your car? (mind you, you did turn up in a Z...so meh..maybe not possible)

mattfinch
Maybe the windows only go down after you have turned of the hijack mode?
jell36
Maybe the windows only go down after you have turned of the hijack mode? maybe, I'll try it tonight, mine is a UK facelift that left the factory in September 2006 and I can't get it to work at the moment, I can turn the anti hijack feature on and off but can't get the windows to go down

mattfinch
Just to let you know I have a late 55 plate and you can turn of the hijack locking mode but can't put the windows down if that helps
dave_c
It's one of those things that bloody annoys me. Specially when your passenger is eager to get in and they open the door just as you unlock it which messes it up!
