Zedrush
Hi all a topic that I keep mentioning, my 350z... Im gonna sell it and buy another 350z but in a different colour with just a nismo kit... I was offered a nice amount for it, (overpriced imo) but the mate was buying for his son, and I cant stand his son as he is a spoilt little sh!t, and he has already crashed his Renult Clio V6, due to his idiotness. And ill be damn if he crashes my Z after everything Ive done to it, already had my last car pictured on its head..not impressed Anyhow, I need a rough idea how much to put it up for as would like to have a bit over when buying another Z so that can put the rest to something else like doing up flat a bit. I know Im not gonna make no where near the amount thats been modded on it. Here is the listing let me know how much you would put it up for? Nissan 350z GT Uk spec 2005 55 Gunmetal Full V3 Veilside bodykit blended in, (immaculate paint work as being resprayed) 20" Zenetti Wheels Gunmetal with polish lip (immaculate as being refurbed and sprayed) 4 New Tyres Bridgestone LSD Doors (with horizontal and vertical openings) Full leather seats and doors retrim very good condition Magnex Exhaust HKS Racing Suction Induction Kit Custom install 15" subwoofer and amp install Bose Speakers Alpine Headunit Mini Mac 1.88mhz Intel core Duo 100gb computer install, Wireless Internet, Bluetooth, Sat Nav, Handsfree, itunes, Dvd, touchscreen, Os10, Windows Vista, Ipod Nano Docking station, bluetooth keyboard, mouse Liiliput 7" Touchscreen Clifford Intelliguard 950 G5 with illumiated warning decals Thats about it, will be in immaculate condition has 22k miles on the clock. What price shall I put it up for? As am clueless, and wont sell to someone who will abuse it.

Guest prescience
I think price is a very difficult one with a modified car like yours (and like mine was) - just look at Bigphil not being able to sell his. The problem IMO is that when I see Zs out and about, 90% of them are stock and almost unmodified; most of those people don't seem to post on forums either. For the remaining 10%, I would say quite a high fraction do post but if you look at people's mods, the only thing that they all have in common is that they are all different - everyone modifies to there own tastes. Your chances of finding the exact person who likes exactly your mods, colour etc in a probably limited market anyway is well, to be honest small IMO. My advice would be to make it as stock as possible and sell individual bits separately, there will be plenty of people interested in a given mod, but very few interested in them all

sl114
How will you put a 350z back to stock with a Veilside kit on it? How about attend some shows this year? Put a for sale sign on it and you may get some interest

Just sell it to the guy who wants it for his son You'll get a quick and painless sale and it sounds like he wants to pay more than normal for it. You could be waiting months for someone to buy that off you.
Guest prescience
One thing I didn't mention, but Sarnie has.... never, ever be sentimental about who you sell something to, car, house whatever; the person will change it to suit them anyway either in a major or minor way

Who cares if he crashes it? You may crash it whilst trying to find a 'suitable' buyer

Be that wrap it round a tree, completely modify it or leave it standard.

Zedrush - Sell it to the guy with the spoilt son. End of the day, it's only a lump of metal. Admittedly a very nice looking lump of metal that gets you from A to B very quickly and with a huge smile on your face, but a lump of metal nevertheless
