sl114
Hey all, i need a bit of advice re: limited miles and my insurance. Basically i am about to go over the limited miles that i have on my insurance but i am selling the car. Is it wise to chuck on another 1000 miles just to be safe as i dont know when i will be selling the car, or do i leave it? What happens if i go over the limited miles and have a bump? does that void my insurance and will it stop them from paying out? Any help/advice would be great, thanks Louis
Removed
how exactly are they going to check where their "limited" mileage start from? Didi you provide mileage readings to them?
sl114
All i did was fill in their form stating that the miles start from 11k and signed it saying that was where it starts from.

Trev-the-Rev
There is usually a provision that if you are going to exceed the stated mileage, you can inform them and they will amend the premium accordingly. I use to do this with my Esprit Turbo and found it worked ok.

Sarnie
The service book also states the mileage at the last service.
M13KYF
and doesn't the MOT. One to be careful of now the MOT and Insurance are linked on a DVLA database
sl114
and doesn't the MOT. One to be careful of now the MOT and Insurance are linked on a DVLA database This is true, but i dont have an MOT yet. The service was done at the dealers before i bought the car, so no issue there. Im going to call them later today and see how much extra its going to cost me, if its a lot, im not going to really drive the car unless i do small trips here and there. I stil have 200 miles left on it so not too bad. It means no trips to the other half in it though, train for me
