Sarnie
Thinking of buying a 355 ... please tell me why I shouldn't ... Beavis, I know your brother has a nice one; your input will be appreciated I've been toying with one for years, but I don't have a garage so not sure it would last a few winters on my drive.... Sam Mcgoo
Get it bought!! My favorite Ferrari by a long way. (although the 458 might just take that crown now) Now is the time to get one, prices turned a year or so ago and they are only going one way now. Could even be free motoring with the steady increase in value. If the wife wouldn't kill me, I'd be tempted to spend the new house deposit on one about now. Think of it as an investment. marzman
I could be wrong but i think Leonk had one a while back too... might be worth a PM. Whilst i like them and would like to own one - literally every time i see one my first thought is 'is that an MR2?'. It's a shame really as it shouldnt be like that.
leonk
That I did and very nearly bought another one instead of the e type. They seem to be creaping up in price at the moment and a late one was just a bit more than I wanted to spend. Without doubt a great car. Feel free to pm me. rabbitstew
Ive been tempted quite a few times now they are more affordable, but as someone else said, it would have to sit in the drive and I wonder how long before some scrote scratches it or breaks into the house looking for the keys. bronzee
If you don't buy one Hugh, we won't hear the end of it............. buy.
Chesterfield
Get a decent one, have it serviced regularly and it should be free motoring. Prices only headed up for the last couple of years. Retail red will always command a premium.

S1 HNK
Stunning car, friend of mine bought one about 5 years ago and still loves it. It is in absolute mint condition and he looked at plenty of cars before choosing this one. There is a great Ferrari specialist near me called GT Cars and I was actually chatting to him a few months back about 355's. He said they are very well built and dont actually require as much maintenance as you think. I appreciate its always a gamble on which car you get but if you do your homework and take a specialist with you to check it over then you cant go wrong! Beavis
Great car Hugh, my brother loves his and as Chesterfield has said one of the very few cars that is increasing in value. Plenty of good ones knocking about and try and get one with a recent cam belt service. I have seen my brothers service bills and they are very reasonable. If you want Hugh i will pm you my brothers mobile number and he will give you plenty of advice i am sure. He's also a member of the NW Ferrari club. Oh and its sounds frickin awesome though i think my brothers car has a non-standard exhaust fitted.

Ekona
Drive one first. Mate of mine nearly bought one as it was his dream car, but it felt slow and ungainly compared to what he was expecting. Granted, it was a Verdi car so probably best he didn't buy from them in the end anyway, but even so... The interior seems to wear very badly unless a fortune has been spent on it, although that's offset by the relatively cheap servicing and decent mechanicals of them. No doubt they're pretty and make a sonorous noise, however as a driving experience I'd be driving a few of them first,
