kiingsi
I need some advice please on the best choice here. My 350 is well overdue a proper service, it hasn't had a garage service for 23000 mile. It got serviced by the place where I bought it but they decided not to stamp it due to all the old service history been by Nissan. I don't know what kind off service this was I am assuming just oil and top up of fluids as the air filter has seen better days. To be safe I would like to give it a big service changing quite a few things. What I would like doing is. oil oil filter + washer spark plugs brake fluid gearbox oil diff oil braided hoses (while the fluid is out) coolant I am supplying all the parts my self and this is what i would like your opinions on please: Do I get all the work done by Nissan who have quoted me £450 in labour charges (which I thought was a bit expensive seen as I am supplying my own parts) or, just have an independent garage do it for me but not get a stamp in the book. Details on my car are. I bought it with 74000 miles on it, an 04 plate with full service history(if you can call it that) all services been done at Nissan until 57000 then it has not had a service to date 81000 (officially) Is it worth paying the price now and getting another Nissan stamp or with the age and mileage of my car is it pointless? jell36
I wouldn't bother with Nissan, I'd get one of the traders on here to do it for you or do it yourself
DoogyRev
I would say get all the service parts your self, and get a reputable independent garage to do the service. If your in the south east then Keizer Motors have a very good rep on here
RobPhoboS
Where do you live ? Head to the nearest recommended garage (from here) that is nearest to you and get them to do it

spursmaddave
£450 for labout is a bit steep and not really worth the stamp given the other gaps, have a search for a decent indy garage even if you have to travel a bit it will be worth it I recon

Arran
Must be a performance specialist on Sheffield. I'd say you want to do the following since its been a while since the last Oil and filter (use silkolene pro s 5w30) Air filter (buy a panel filter, hks etc) Spark plugs (zmanalex has uprated ones) Gearbox oil (use genuine Nissan sports gearbox oil and a tube of molyslip) Diff oil (again use genuine Nissan stuff) Complete coolant flush I'd say (again Nissan premixed stuff) Brake/clutch fluid change (ate superblue would be spot on) Stick a decent fuel system cleaner in aswell (Wurth etc) May aswell finish it off with an air con bomb (kills all the bacteria in the air com system) If you supply parts a garage won't charge a great deal to do it all
