Johndo Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Had my first zed for a month and I love it, however it has been a tricky start. It's a gt, 58 plate and 2 weeks in the slave cylinder had to be replaced. The guy putting the car on the flatbed damaged the bumper but managed to get him to pay for it. All the while, before it was fixed and now, the car has been shuddering in 1st and 2nd gear unless I am at 3000 revs. I live in edinburgh, it's quite a tight city. If I drive around town in 1st at 3000 revs I am likely to plow into some historic wall or other. It just feels like the car will cut out, then you give it some very gentle throttle and it leaps forward violently. Does anyone have any idea what causes this? Quote
spursmaddave Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Maybe a dirty throttle body or maf or both Quote
Johndo Posted April 6, 2013 Author Posted April 6, 2013 Forgot to say, it also made a loud, rapid rattling noise off a hill start. Like drilling something. Dunno if its related though Quote
spursmaddave Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Dunno about the rattling could be exhaust/caf related plenty of bits to rust and get rattly... Where are you roughly, we could recommend someone local who could take a look Quote
Johndo Posted April 6, 2013 Author Posted April 6, 2013 Thanks a lot mate. I'm up in Edinburgh. Quote
The Chubby Ninja Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 have you tried the throttle body reset? just a thought Quote
