SteveW
Just wondering I was all set on a DA but I've been given some Argos vouchers and there is a Silverline Rotary polisher which I can get for £30 price is £45-£50 everywhere else. Figured it would also be a good buy for DIY projects also I.e sanding doors skirting a etc. Are they really as hard to use on cars as it suggests on google? Cheers Steve
KC350Z
look on detailing sub forum lots of info there better but can damage paint if not used correctly as make more heat as a da rotates in a figure of 8 stopping this happening but if you are carefull there better just not idiot prof like a da

Patch
If in the north west I'd be happy to show you how to use a rotary. Not scary at all.
Dblock
If your going got the silver line or any rotary remember to factor in the cost of a soft backing plate.
r37
the silverline rotary is a bit heavy and vibrates quite a bit. I'd use the argos vouchers for something else and get a good quality DA (das 6 pro can be had for £100 brand new and is a cracking bit of kit) thats more beginner friendly but perfectly capable. RobPhoboS
I've got the Dodo Juice Spin Doctor, I wouldn't use my DA again and nor would I buy something like this from Argos (unless it's vouched for by guys that use them). ex: http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/machine-polishing-pads/car-polishers/dodo-juice-spin-doctor-rotary/prod_806.html
