Shaun1982
Anyone does this before? Considering doing this if its not going to be a massive ball ache. Thinking its a case of buy some small LEDs, find a clear plastic ring etc, fit LEDs to that, wire up correctly & pick up the interior light power to run it? Watshot
Maybe worth seeing if the factory fit one from the HR will retro fit the DE, then just a case of powering it.
Shaun1982
Had no idea that they came on later models lol. Bet Nissan would want a bloody fortune for it too
Watshot
Try a breaker, Zmanalex etc. He may be able to tell you if it would work or not.

Shaun1982
SMD its about the only thing I miss from my coupe, having a little lean forward to see it rather than stab around with the key is a good thing in my eyes lol

Shaun1982
Yeah I read on my350 that they made an led one for silly money. Someone bought the ring from Nissan for $15 instead but never finished the thread for if it worked. The HRs use a transponder Alex said & someone on my350 mentioned a NATS aerial
Ian
I fitted the G35 one to my R34. Picked it up for a tenner on ebay

z350convert
My wife says I have never been any good at finding small slots in the dark, whatever that means, so I have just got hold of screen washer jet with a red LED already in it (this is for the car by the way) I plan to fit it to the bottom of the column housing where there is a neat area just the right size, Probably spray it Matt Black so it looks discreet and wire it up to the centre dome light so it behaves like the door lights and at the same time. So far it has cost me about £5 including loads of wire and I still have a spare jet which I might fit under the bonnet near the dip stick because I can never see that either. So it could be a cheap and neat mod provided I don't brake the door pillar trim or burn out the wiring. I think the Honda ring may not fit a z as the barrel looks too big on the z but I may be wrong - I thought this was less hassle More to follow....
