CrumbMC
Has anyone tried evergreens? my friend just had them fitted (not sure which model of tyre) on his diesel Bora and is raving about them. I have taken it with a pinch of salt though as he is a terrible driver but thinks he's good. Apparently the garage who fitted them said that they were a premium tyre and that they are better than P-zeros (didn't say which type though). I had a look at them and they had lots of small tread blocks and the compound felt quite soft. My friend also said that they are a Chinese company and that, depending on the remaining tread, they will replace / give discount on your next tyres if you get a puncture. again this could just be a load of trollup. A quick search on google came up with a tyre company on my work's industrial estate (google stalking me?) and this is off their website Evergreen Tyres are manufactured to the highest standards and undergo rigorous testing processes at all stages of development and manufacture. View the Tyre Grading Comparison Chart to see how Evergreen Tyres compare to leading premium brands. For these reasons, Evergreen are so confident of the quality and reliability of their tyres, that they guarantee them. The Evergreen Guarantee Evergreen will replace any tyre that is found to be defective due to the manufacturing process or materials used. Evergreen will replace any tyre with unrepairable damage resulting from normal road use. Terms and conditions apply
glrnet
Impossible to comment until you've tried them for yourself IMO, it's the age old chicken and egg conundrum isn't it? Would you put them on your Zed? And surely any manufacturer is legally bound to replace goods that fail due to faulty materials or manufacture? Not sure I want to hear that about tyres really though
Arran
Better than P Zero I highly doubt
4RE Leather
Better than P Zero I highly doubt You ain't old enough to be in this thread!!
Ekona
Better than P Zero I highly doubt Oh I dunno, P Zeros are spectacularly rubbish... However, I do doubt that these Evergreen tyres are anything other than shite. Just look at the tread patterns, they're meant for shopping trolley sheds not sports cars. CrumbMC
I had never planned on putting them on my car. I was just curious. The name Evergreen doesn't exactly shout performance either.
Ekona
Scary thing is it'll probably sell to old farts who don't know any better
Arran
P Zeros are a great tyre, don't think they are the best overall but they are up there for sure in some of the variants. Wouldn't be the OE tyre of a Zonda if they were shite Pete can you supervise me then
Ekona
And you think the P Zeros that would get put on any normal car are the same variant as on the Zonda? Porsche put them on 911s for a bit, and they were still awful then.
Arran
The one on the Zonda are Ross Corsa variant I believe, available for the 350 aswell if I remember correctly when looking
The Chubby Ninja
My mates dad raves about some cheap chinese tyres that hes got on his m3. According to him "their just as good,if not better than the mainstream performance tyres" i dont know if they were evergreen but the guy in the tyre place really rates them lol. Albeit for a sale. The guy does lots of motorway miles and drives like a granny so i wont be taking advice from him and certainly wont be putting them on my zed. Unless they are cheap enough to stick on my oem rear wheels for a drift day
