evilscorp
Anyone got a pic of the vortech V3 dipstick? not sure what it looks like, I presume it is the brass plug directly horizontal when the charger is in place, Is it visible/accessible from the wheel arch area? I know you change the plug on top of the blower for the vented one but from my350z I can see this is not the dipstick. Just want to make sure there is oil in there before I start the thing. The Chubby Ninja
did the kit come with a spare bottle of oil? it would be really annoying to get this far and need to wait for oil from america
evilscorp
three spare bottles think it takes about a full bottle to fill it so you get a few oil changes, handy as the first one is at 2500miles then 7000 there after.

Does the v3 have an oil cooler coming off it for the internal oil?
evilscorp
No oil cooler just a drain line which is handy when it comes to emptying and not making a mess. Yeah I could make a huge castle out of all my cardboard boxes
The Chubby Ninja
Lol. Well how does it cool its oil? It must get pretty hot in there. Would be cool if you could fit a little oil cooler to it
wizard
I heard it takes 2.5 bottles?
evilscorp
It says 4oz which I think (used a online converter) = 118 ml, each bottle looks just about half the size of a coke can = 330ml so I think I am correct in saying it takes one bottle, but as with everything ive done with this kit I could be wrong
evilscorp
Just thought I would kill this thread as I finally managed to get hold of imperial allen keys and it was easy enough to check the level, dont know what the fuss was about on the other 350z website. I couldnt check the level from the wheel arch, just had to squeze my hand in beside the headlight and work it out from under the bonnet. Lucky the fluid is bright pink so easy to read.
