kiingsi
I thought it was about time to start posting some of the things I have done on here as I have owned the zed for a year now. its not much but hopefully going to be soon Well my first impression of the zed when I drove it was WOW so... I bought one. And here it is a standard blade gt spec. My first mod had to be sound, I loved the sound of the zed but just wanted it to be abit louder so I bought these, some nice shiny de-cats. A couple of videos Standard De-cats it sounds good but a I would like it a little bit deeper so going to look at getting a full system. Next was some new wheels the rays are nice for standard wheels but I wanted something with abit more to them so picked my self a set of rota grid drifts up. Was not a fan off the white on a silver car so painted them in my home made spray booth. with the help of my brother They turned out better than expected and bought some gold wheel nuts to go with the calipers. Not a mod but decided to have a go at cleaning the engine bay and it didn't turn out bad for my first time doing it. After having the car for a couple of months now I thought it was about time to take the car for a dyno to see how many horses she has lost Not got a photo of the dyno print out so here's a video, gets 269 on the next pull. 10 horses, I will get you back Next on the list was to be to lower it, was unsure how much to lower it by so I got some adjustable coilovers instead of the eibach springs so I could play around with it abit. First go, tooooo low I left it as it was for now as I wasn't going to be driving it and ordered some new wheels which quickly arrived thanks to Couger store what are they? what are they? Bigger rota grid drifts in matte bronze. I opted for 19s to lift her off the floor abit more but still keep my small arch gap. whilst putting them on I decided to remove the front and rear splash guards After messing with the ride height abit got it sitting just how I wanted it. I prefer the look without the splash guards aswell I think it looks alot cleaner. The job for this weekend spray and fit some eye lids (not everyone likes them but im going to give them a try) and fit my b-line air intake which I received this week from the heff . But I came back from working away in london to this But the snow will not stop me from modding So I decided to do a mod I have been abit sceptical of doing and do the bose hack which went well and wasn't as hard as what I first thought it was going to be when I read the guide. And finally as she stands Edited March 30, 2013 by kiingsi

kiingsi
Well after a more than due service, hopefully an ark exhaust and a bumper tuck in a couple of weeks. Then going to try and get some performance sorted a plenum spacer and uprev which I am hoping for before japfest but going to depend on the wallet. 14N
Very nice mate, looks cool. It's a gunmetal though buddy, not silver
kiingsi
Thanks I should have had a look first but o'well
14N
No worries. It's widely known that GM is the fastest and best colour. I know the V5 states silver, but if your paint code is WV2, it's definitely a GM.
kiingsi
Ye I would agree to that. I'll check it out you could have saved me as I haven't had the eyelids painted yet and may have nearly got them in the wrong colour. Thanks.
KyleR
Those rims look familiar I ripped the rear guards off mine too after getting the rims fitted, looks 100% better Loving the last picture and the one of the rear quarter
kiingsi
Yeah it does it looks a lot cleaner without them on. Plus they was catching on the floor all the time. Thanks.
mattross1313
Nice work matey. Really sounds good with just the decats fitted. What is the screen above the stereo? Tunes for your Bose? I guess it just hides behind the cubby lid huh? Looks great. Matt
kiingsi
Thank That's just the standard sat nave screen without the casing pal. Had someone else ask me that aswell and like I said to him makes me wonder how easy or hard it would to swap it for a taller if I could find one the right size. StevoD
never thought the grid in 19s look that nice, but your looks epic good work and full respect on the ride height
kiingsi
Ha thanks Had to roll the arches on the back, no pushing them out tho just rolled the huge lip up. And to be honest it doesn't scrape or rub or catch one bit, but then there is -3.0 degrees of camber on the back
14N
Dude, looks like someone is really admiring your wheels, I mean REALLY ADMIRING your wheels........
rtbiscuit
Not got a photo of the dyno print out so here's a video, gets 269 on the next pull. 10 horses, I will get you back its only 7 horses to worry about the DE was 276 bhp as standard
kiingsi
I an. Hahamy brother he says he likes them ha. Ahh even easier to get back then
theheff
Really like it so far mate. Loving the Matt bronze wheels against the gun metal. Be interesting to see how the CAI kit goes on the dyno aswell as if you put your hand in the area the filter sits even after. Along run the air is still really cool
kiingsi
Yes it will be interesting it seems like it is in the perfect position to me. I know it has been tested and all that, and velocity stack is the best but surely with the filter been down there it must improve it a little bit. kiingsi
Done a couple of more things so thought I would pop them up. Did the bose hack and tucked it away neatly. (Thanks for the great guide husky ) I have also fitted the induction kit after a lot of messing around. a fiddly job. Ended up with some battle scars Then I thought I would try something different, something to make my zed stand out , the ideas been in my head for a while, sticking with the gold, an offset black and gold stripe. Tell me what you think please I am still a bit unsure but its growing on me. The car has also been dyno'd since the induction kit has been fitted and the results are take a look. I have lost 10 horsie's somwhere
14N
Not a fan of the stripe I'm afraid. It doesn't follow the lines down the centre of the bonnet. Certainly makes your Zed stand out though.
StevoD
Same dyno? have you had the car remapped since the air filter being fitted? But tbh as much as we all dont want to admit it cone filters give noise but lose power 99% of the time
S1 HNK
Nooooooo that stripe!!!
