kris
Agreed, if you were going to go down that sort of route you would need a flat colour anyway. I'll be sticking to the 'shades of grey' colours so to speak!
BulletMagnet
Blue centres with polished lip don't look that bad Mind you, does needs a decent lip, which the Rays don't have Edited March 23, 2013 by BulletMagnet
KyleR
Having just put orange vinyl lip on my bronze 19" Rota's they certainly make the wheels look smaller, they look like 18's. Also I think with a lip it needs to contrast as much as possible from the wheel colour, dark wheels to bright rim, whereas GM is a slightly lighter colour and blue isn't the brightest. spursmaddave
Polished lips and azure centres Couldn't be bothered to paste in a chrome lip but you get the idea. Looks better in my head and would probably look better in the flesh with the right shade. Ewwwww I just threw up in my mouth Edited March 23, 2013 by spursmaddave
spursmaddave
All depends if you want things to stand out for the right reasons, or just stand out...
Oakley350z
I've been thinking about painting my Ray's, I think the two tone/polished idea on the lip is good but there isn't much lip to play with I've got the trouble of finding a colour that will look right on my orange Z! DoogyRev
This . . . . looks way better than this . . . . . ...... because the first set of wheels are not standard rays. I dont think the standard ray look that good when done in multiple colours. I think you would be better to keep the wheels the same colour as they are , and change the Brembo's to Blue (IMO)
kris
I don't like the blue on the standard rays at all really. But blue brembos sounds good

LRF4N
Not feeling blue on the rays- not spokes, definitely not a lip. Go for plain anthracite or shadow chrome. If you want colour get the calipers done but dont limit yourself to blue, several colours could work. Here's my azure with red calipers and wheels painted smoked chrome including the lips
kris
Anthracite or shadow chrome will be what I go for more than likely.

Wasso
I haven't got any decent pics with the wheels on Apart from these (and that's not me its Bob)
LRF4N
To be honest red goes with the majority of colours on most cars. I had a few red touches on the zed. Would love to go with a funky colour on the skyline calipers but with a few red touches already there and more coming it's gonna have to be red again, maybe a different shade though Not seen red calipers on a standard zed yet?
