Stutopia
So my crystal rear clusters arrived and I've been searching all over to find appropriate replacement LEDs for the fog and reverse bulbs, big problem I've found is that lots of the advice in threads contains links to ebay items which have now gone, and the thread posts don't consistently state the LED spec or detail on which LEDs are tried and tested winners. I think these are ok, but would really appreciate if someone could just confirm they'll be good to simply plug and play please. I'm leaving the indicators as bulbs as the faff of doing the resistors is too much for me. For reverse and fog: 7443HP red or white http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/ABD-7443HP-21/5W-54-LED-WEDGE-WHITE-and-RED.html To remove fried egg indicators: 581 Phillips Silver Vision http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/581-Philips-Silver-Vision-indicator-bulbs.html Also any suggestions for the license plate, to go LED instead of bulb? Thanks. Edited March 21, 2013 by SuperStu
KyleR
I'm not 100% sure you need resistors for the indicators. I know ever vehicle is different, but my brother has them on his bike with no problems. As for license plate, go LED, looks much better
Shaun1982
The plate is just side light bulbs dude from what I've seen on here I didn't bother changing my indicators for LEDs either, went for silvatec bulbs off eBay for about £7 Can't answer the reverse & fog question as I've not done it but If I was I'd probably find a set on eBay I was happy with price on etc & buy those lol
Sam Mcgoo
Also any suggestions for the license plate, to go LED instead of bulb? Thanks. From here: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/44931-sidelight-bulbs-what-have-you-uprated-to/ The front sidelights x2, rear Numberplate x2 and boot light x 1 are all the same type - w5w 501. The interior light requires 2 x 30mm festoon type bulbs. White LED is the way to go for the modern look, they are white with a tiny hint of blue. You can get them all cheap on ebay but they may not last too long. Not so bad with the easy to change bulbs but a pain with the sidelight bulbs. I would recommend Autobulbs direct for good quality items and if you PM a mod they will give you a discount code. Here you go; Sidelight - 2x http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/501-led-extreme-power-1.5w-360-degree-white-blue-red-amber.html Numberplate and boot - 3x http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/501-LED-Single-Assorted-colours.html Interior - 2x http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/269-4-led-festoon-bulbs-30mm.html

morgs
Those indicators you linked to will NOT fit, you need the wedge fitment bulbs. They only seem to be available on eBay at the moment :/ Have a look at this thread for a bit more info: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/68869-little-confused/#entry1026173

Stutopia
Thanks gents. I used the vehicle check for the indicators, does this mean not everything I read on the Internet is true? ;-)
spursmaddave
Autobulbs have the wrong info on their site and have had for years!!!!!
Stutopia
So, after considerable sniffing around the web, I'm liking... spursmaddave
As I said on the PM all looksgood but just check out the fog light when you fit put the fog in one side and the oem in the other and compare.... I wasn't happy that the LED was bright enough so I kept the oem red bulb...
Stutopia
Cheers SMD, but as you suggested, I'm not going for LED fog, it has to be propeply bright for obvious reasons. The link above is to some silvatec style fogs, but the webpage layout is total garbage. It's not the LEDs at the bottom, it's the chromed bulbs in the top right. http://www.hq-auto-lighting.co.uk/popup_image.php/pID/

Stutopia
Good shout, I'd assumed as they were bulbs they were same sort of lumen. Thanks, yet again! BTW (sorry for off topic) did you get round to the front speaker grill mod? I might have a pop today if there isn't a foot of snow when I open the curtains. But since I pushed the fade forward, tinkered with the fade and run the speakers in, I am absolutely loving the hertz setup it is crazy loud, but more importantly for me, hugely detailed.
