stuey
this may be coinsidance but since i put the 20" wheels on when i do a bit of speedy cornering the slip light comes up and cuts me power....... except that my traction is 100% still there and defo not silding..... this seems to happen more often than not...................... any ideas.........?? stuey
do you think its anything to do with the wheel rotation speed in relation to the gearbox speed......????????

stuey
275/30/20 on the back.......... 245/35/20 on the front
lomoto
275/30/20 on the back.......... 245/35/20 on the front thats why its slipping different profile tyres front top back just switch off traction
stuey
differant profile but the same rollong radius......!! ok i tried the ecu reset proceedur and dissconnecting the battery........... will keep u posted on any developments.............. t3dcf
I changed my rims too and had the same problem, its to do with the tyre size and ratios etc.... I had to change my tyre size so that is sorted it - search for my posts and you should find what i did! good luck
stuey
i tried all the rest proceedures......... still the same........ any more suggestions...!!

lomoto
differant profile but the same rollong radius......!! but not same differential as standard set up Not sure what you mean by that mate? standard sizes are 245/45 and 225/45 so rolling radius's arnt the same Stuey has exactly same rolling radius front / rear ..so I'm guessing that is the probs
Removed
to confuse things further.... when i first put on my alloys (18" but wider, much wider than stock) all was ok, never had any issue of TCS and ABS kicking in prematurely, whereas now that I changed rear tyres (and not fronts) I get the TCS to kick in when not needed, mostly on fast left hand bends. Interestingly (and I had no idea until I did a spreadsheet calc. just now) a tread difference of 7mm (I know that's at the extreme) makes a 2.2% difference in rolling radius and circumference. This is significant and might explain why changing one wheel from a very low tread to new would affect the slip
