ioneabee
Anyone got one of these ? I can't get them to work at all The usb dongle shows up in device manager and windows "pinks" when its plugged in or removed, but can't get the mouse or keyboard to link to it - there's no "link button" on any of the devices !! Renegade
Daft question but, have you installed the driver / software for it ?
Ekona
And another daft question, what do the instructions say?
ioneabee
None came with it - assumed self install from the dongle, but went to microsoft anyway - downloaded intelipoint 8.2 - still nothing

ioneabee
definately not one in the box................but have downloaded the software from MS anyway and still no workey
Ekona
Usually you need to install the software, then plug it in. Try removing everything and then start again, and do it that way round.
spursmaddave
Do the keyboard and mouse have little buttons on them to pair to the PC
ioneabee
ok - tried it on a different pc - installed software 1st as you recomended Dan - still nothing - it recognises the dongle, but just doesn't recognise any activity from keyboard or mouse. older version of wireless kit always had a link button to synchronise them (posted as Dave responded - but as above - no recessed buttons) Edited March 17, 2013 by ioneabee
spursmaddave
No buttons hidden away in the battery compartments even? Pretty sure most wireless or BT devices have a button to send a pair signal, it wont be just on permanently as it would drain the battery
ioneabee
nope - nothing
rtbiscuit
Have a read on amazon for the product and read the reviews, I often find if I have an issue someone else has as well and they usually post a fix as well.
ioneabee
gone through the reviews now - none of them mention anything other than plug and play - no synchro button mentioned - just plug it in, install drivers for keyboard and mouse additional functions - looks like this is faulty

Ekona
Quick Google says that the receivers are paired with the hardware from factory, and cannot be switched out for another. This may have happened somewhere down the line, so you need to return the whole lot if we get no joy.
ioneabee
tried on vista and win 7 - downloaded the version that was available on the MS download site for this hardware gonna get an RMA now - clearly not correct !!
