flakmunky
Hi All, Done a bit of a Rodney... I cleaned the engine down and now my Toad alarm has packed in. I tried to lock my car with the button on the fob. This works in that it locks everything but the drivers door! I CAN use the key in the lock and the whole vehicle locks... My current thinking is that it isn't the alarm, but something to do with the drivers solenoid... I have checked all the fuses but none seem to have gone. Any suggestions? TIA, fM the Muppet

flakmunky
Cheers, Lomoto... Any excuse for a blast! Went for a run and it didn't sort it out... Then tried it on the off-chance later and all was good! It looks as if, when fitting the alarm, they have disconnected the drivers solenoid which is now controlled by the alarm, thus triggering the other doors to lock... This would also explain why the little lock button on the driver arm rest only locks the other doors and not the drivers door... I thought it was like that by design (for some reason!) But all is good now... Was worried for a while... Won't be cleaning the engine like that again! fM
