Flex
Well tonight I went to give blood and I for the first time couldn't as vein got bruised and stopped allowing blood to flow. But, what made matters worse was that apparently I have a rare platelet (but common as muck blood type) that means the blood is used for babies, which made me feel even worse for not being able to donate tonight. Anyway if you don't currently donate, please get yourself signed up!
Harryjax
Well done. I've been a blood doner for years. I'm also on the organ donor list for any organs that are useful and may save someone's life. How many forum members are donors?

rtbiscuit
Last time I checked I wasn't allowed to donate blood. I have heamochromatosis, means my body stores iron, and to control it the take my blood, apparently it has a high iron count. I am however an organ donor. Although the quality of what's there is debateable
stuarty
My opinion is that if your willing to accept a donated organ, you should be on the donor register. BUT, i dont think i could ever receive a hand transplantation, like the dude on TV last week. Weid, bitting someone else's nails, lol. Squee
Only time I couldn't give blood was after I had been to Bangkok I think they're going to allow the 'alternatively attracted' to donate blood soon so you should be ok S.
