Bullet
I've just bought an electic cubby to replace my manual but didn't get the wiring with it. What are my options ? has anyone wired one in ?
spursmaddave
Yes, wired it in and fitted a rocker switch to open/close
Paddy78
When you say, didn't get the wiring, have you got the motor and circuit to operate the open/close function?
spursmaddave
The cubby comes with the motor attached but you would need the loom to attach it to I just wired the motor a 12v via a rocker switch
Paddy78
The reason I ask is that I recently bought a "motorised" cubby, which didn't actually come with a motor. Are the ones than you and Bullet have the Japanese versions?
spursmaddave
Yes I believe it is an early jap retractable motorised cubby

I'm prepared to be proven wrong Alex and would never usually question your Zed knowledge, but there was no motor on that cubby... The wires on that particular model are for turning the satnav on and off when the door is opened and closed. There was no way to wire it up so that the door opened and closed like in Dave's video. I may well have been having a special moment though! Edited March 7, 2013 by Paddy78
