buster
:DSo after 4 years of ownership i said to myself about time you post a build thread...well here we go I bought my zed back in march 2009 Came to me standard apart from the black tinted windows and scorpion exhaust system. This was always going to be the only car i was not going to modify well very shortly after getting home the modding bug took hold.all started so innocently with a change of badges and colour. Not to long after doing the badges i wondered what to do with the wheels, not having buckets of cash at the time i sprayed em. Didnt look to be bad i thought but after a couple of weeks i wanted more...... So after a visit to Sarah at Envy South i came home with a v2 rear spoiler and c-west front splitter.Quick visit to the spray shop and all,s good. Now after that you would think i d be happy but no,it need more. Some side skirts or spats so guess what..... I managed to get o/e dirt shilds(mudflaps) front and rear and vielside under skirts. Even found time to paint the door handles black along with the wing emblems. Around the same time i found a company that made pre cut tinting film for the rear bumper lights so add those as well. Next on the agenda was a private plate so as a christmas present Mrs Buster bought me this Found a rear deffuser to finish the look and added tinted rear light . found myself always searching for the next level so change the front slightly by adding a air in take and painting part of the splitter black to match the grille. by now most people would be happy with what they had achieved NOT ME I DECIEDED TO CHANGE THE LOOK OF THE ZED COMPLETELY Edited October 4, 2015 by buster
buster
First to go was the front bumper and splitter to make way for a nismo v2 copy item followed by the arrvial of 19inch wheels in my hours of ebaying looking for parts i came across a company selling a new side skirt after a couple of phone calls i was test fitting the item for them so all ways going smoothly in my zeds face lift but then i want shot of the v2 spoiler. Whilst waiting to remove it Keyser kindly let me have his tien super street coilovers alittle fettling and i was sorted still no joy with finding a new home for the boot spoiler ,keyser paint the wheels for me then again the following weekend as i fancied completely black and fitted front cannards. Finally a home was found and a boot swop took place well me modding journey also has undertaken changing the orange seat s to black ,replacing the stereo h/unit various times and speakers, fitting a jwt pop charger and nismo gear knob gear knob. replacing centre console for import item replaced rear camber arms y pipe for cobra item more wheel changes than i can remember current wheels earthing kit none of this would ever have happen with out the help of my BEST m8 Keyser there s more to add mind you so will update as soon as. buster
latest mod was to replace the rear bumper for the import one as i have always prefered it pics taken on yet another set of wheel
buster
unfortunatly a while back i damage the v2 front bumper so whilst off for repair by Keyser the z looked like this but not for to long opted to go for an all sunset look along with carbon cannards
Ceejay29
Nice build thread, what a lovely machine. Not a fan of the v2 rear spoiler, much prefer the one you you opted for - is it a standard one? I am trying to decide if I want to purchase one myself, I like the smooth lines of the zed. Also a big thumbs up for the side skirts, very subtle Where are the from?
spursmaddave
The Ginger Ninja has certainly seen a few changes not all to my taste but all done in great style and with a huge amount of skill and passion Oh and some help from Chris
spursmaddave
Funniest thing I ever saw was Chris plugging in The Ginger Ninja to his laptop and 'playing' with the engine turning off things here and there to Jim & My amusement.... And Bobs face as he listened to the rather interesting engine note
GT4 Zed
Nice for sharing your build Bob. I like the side skirts best and when you got shot of the tea tray on the rear. Not do keen on the all ginger front look the black grill area made it work before. I'm sure thee is till more to come as you are so fickle Keep it coming
Humpy
This will be one if the busiest build threads ever, more changes to this car than Bob has had donuts! Your car is definatley my favourite ginger on here, looks awesome!
KyleR
The way it looks now is actually my favourite stage, it looks muuuch better without the V2 spoiler. Who wants to bet this thread will be 25 pages long by easter?
