leonk
Wow, you must see some fantastic stuff. Is that a Crosthwaite and Gardiner alloy dry sump E type block in the first pic? I'll have to keep on my toes now I've got a Jaguar Heritage expert watching me. Talking about working on stuff for Jaguar Heritage, you don't know where I can get one of their newly reproduced E type horn press buttons for less than the £600 they are asking for them? I work for Crosthwaite and Gardiner You're quite right that is! The painted cast iron 3.5l block was one that went in the Jaguar XKSS that were remade last year. I've been working there over 3 years now and it is surprising the cost of some items but I guess that's the game we are in because of the nichè market we are in, the price is normally the price unfortunately
leonk
They certainly make some VERY nice stuff and have a superb reputation. There was me thinking I'd found a source of cheap parts Thanks for following. Next update should hopefully be a video of the engine running.

glrnet
Complete and utter car porn!!!! Don't listen to Keyser's shallow ramblings about you being bored. You'll have to do another one to keep your audience in the manner that we've become accustomed to.

Panic over Stu, now I'm an E type anorak, I can tell you it's not a real one. Two wipers instead of 3, the door handles look wrong, the boot is too straight along the top, gap between the power bulge and louvres wrong...... No E type was ever sold with that style of shelving arrangement. There was an experimental prototype shelving test fitted in November 1967 to chassis number 1E86743 but that was taken out into the car park and set fire to. Once again Doogy thanks for your input! I'd better post an update soon, before anything else appears!
