marzman
Most people's forum names mean more to them than just whats on this forum. I've been marzman for about 15 years...!

beetleben
I don't think its a bad plate depending on price but think it'd be cheaper to get my name changed by deed poll to NU54 ETC!
rtbiscuit
I just went and registered for a timed DVLA auction, found one for £130 thought what the hell I'll register for a bid, but with all the additional fee's etc it came in at £330. at that point I cancelled out. JetSet
Talking of personalised number plates I spotted PB 1 (my initials) on a large 4wd type vehicle towing a trailer with some sort of machinery on it. Well, I say towing, but it was actually stopped on the side of the road with some sort of trailer malfunction. Plate was almost certainly worth a lot more than the vehicle it was on . Just checked and the Reg PB 1 is on a Toyota Landcruiser. Pete Edited February 22, 2013 by JetSet
The Bounty Bar Kid
Cost me £250 all in, so not a lot at all really. There's only one plate I really wanted and that went years ago. My dad tried buying it for me for my birthday, at an auction years ago but got outbid. Think it ended up going for about £4k. D1PAM.
The Bounty Bar Kid
PS. My real name is Dipam, hence the want for that plate.

Shaun1982
I'd like one too. That way when Dave gets his plate back it won't go back on an 03. Wanted a plate for years but can never justify £400 for what's essentially 2 bits of plastic
Ebized
Good to see that anyone looking at your plates and wondering what it means knows where to find out....
Ekona
See kids, that's how you do a personal plate. Cheap, means something to the owner, but no silly spacing or stupid spelling. None of this N111SMO or B 54M XX nonsense. Nice purchase matey
Keyser
Well I would never do anything like that and spend £250 on a plate that only meant something to me. :innocent whistle while wandering off hoping no one works it out smiley:

rob63
I remeber seeing Trevor Nation coming out of the '83 (I think) Race of Aces at Snetterton with PEN 15 on his motor, nearly crashed as I laughed so much my visor steamed up... Now that's a cool plate.
