centre consul - ideas please ?

Due to the consul having few scratches Im wanting to sort it out. I cant afford a leather wrap which would be first choice so its gonna be vinyl wrap or painted.

 

Not wanting a carbon vinyl but have read somewhere that you need to sand down the consul or the plastic texture will show through ?

 

So paint or vinyl and what colour ?

I wrapped my centre console and didn't sand it down. I did it in the carbon vinyl (which you don't like), but the texture of the plastic does not show through at all. Just make sure it (the plastic) clean before you apply the vinyl.

You can do it in any colour you want! Maybe just re-do it black, or silver to match the car?
