DoogyRev
Today I have mostly been sanding Finished off the last four with the angel grinder, then out with the 100 grit. Just need to finish off some of the inside of the drawers. As the insides will be done with truck bed paint, I am not going to be to anal about getting every last spec off. This was the bottom draw half way though, it was rusted far worse than the others. Back in the warm and the dry. I will go over then all again with 120 Grit before I spray them with some Red Oxide Rust primer. The Carcass is is ready to be picked up from Sand Blasting, hopefully I can start spraying next week

DoogyRev
Ok, so i thought I would start the spraying this morning . . . . . . . Drawers cleaned and wiped down with a tac rag . . I knew there was a reason I drank so much beer Spray Gun locked and loaded . . . . . . . and Chris, you have nothing to worry about . . it was shite. In typical Ricey style, its now a garden ornament First coat done, will do a second then and then the bottoms. Ten more to do Just want to say a massive thanks to Chris for all his advice on what to use and how to prep everything.

DoogyRev
Don't say thanks unless it works Looking good so far though!!! Shame about the spray gun attachment thingy Well without your advice so far, I would have just tickled it with some sand paper and slapped on some hammerite The gun attachment is ok as long as you dont tilt in any direction. Seems to drip quite a lot

leonk
Looking good, I've ordered 5ltrs of special chemical from that website for dipping some of the E type bits. It's supposed to dissolve the rust but does not attack plastic rubber etc. You just leave the bits submersed in the stuff for 24hrs and it strips the rust. Will let you know how it goes as it might do your wheels ?
DoogyRev
Will be very interested to see how that goes I think I will need to "angel" grind them off first . .They look like quite good casters . . . well they looked like they were Also maybe I need to teach myself how to weld

DoogyRev
So today I started with this . . Wheels off . . . Cover as well . . . And I was left with this . . . Used the grinder and wire attachment to get rid if most of the rust. Still a bit more to do And whilst all that was going on, I sprayed this inside and out . . . I also popped down the road to get these . . . but more on that tomorrow (maybe) Time for Beer and BBQ, thats all for now
