DRAUGHTSMAN
Hi, This is my first taste of poor service , I have owned my 350Z for 5 years now and never a problem . it was collected for service last week by EVANS HALSHAW MANSFIELD NOTTINGHAM , it came back later the same day nice and clean - shame they could not be bothered to carry out a proper service - washer jets blocked , tire pressure not checked , rears low , air filter very dirty and not changed or cleaned , N/s window left open a little - seat soaked next morning , it also came back with airbag warning light on . All they would say was it was all checked and the airbag light was on in the worshop , the fitter said it was noted - not on the list I got , it took me less than a minute to seset it , And its never come back on - someone looking for work methinks ! I was told to take it back and they would recheck the items - 25ml round trip plus time and a gallon of petrol , for work already paid to be done. Nissan GB also did not wish to know - VERY UNHAPPY !!! Anyone know a good indipendent Nissan man in Nottinghamshire

WhackyWill
Some Main Agents are "stealers" have come accross them before. Just cancel the transaction on your credit card or claim it back.
MidnightRacer
Sorry to hear about your problems but were these items actually part of the service listed? washer jets blocked , tire pressure not checked , rears low , air filter very dirty and not changed or cleaned Unfortunately nowadays things like this often arent actually part of a service. In the good old days a service took all day and included everything right down to your nipples! as time has moved on service times get shorter and the dealer has to put their prices up to cover their overly expensive diagnostics and the fact that their workers all want 25 grand a year for shredding paper because its a bare minimum. People refer to them as stealers and I'm absolutely certain there are some out there but be under no illusion that your main dealer is making a bucket load of money these days, its quite the opposite! Plummerman
Couldn't recommend Mitz and the team at CS enough buddy. Mines in with them having some major works carried out after an insurance company **** up. And Mitz did a hell of a lot of rangling and arranging things with the insurance company that he didn't need to.. They even allowed free use of there ramps etc for inspection purposes.. If you've ever owned an Audi or a Beamer and been to the main showroom at service time and got the treatment, the experience.. Well CS is this without all the hairs and graces and lardy da.. Friendly, enthusiastic and a passion for the car as he owned one.. Everything you want plus it's always a Zed meet when you roll up there Phil
rabbitstew
My mate had a full service at Vauxhall main dealer for his Vectra and they didnt even change the air filter (£4 part) or the pollen filter (again £4). The oil looked black as the ace of spades and personally whilst they insist they did change it, i doubt if they even opened the bonnet. They also said the pollen filter and air filter arnt included as part of a normal service. God knows why as for £4 id change it, esp when its black as your hat and clogged full of crap. K370Z2
Anybody who has read my previous post and the members comments thereafter will understand why most people go down the service yourself of specialist once the warranty expires cause your experience is common place. Cars Motorbikes Jet-ski's every single dealership i have ever used has been "not very good" the specialist rely on reputation & word of mouth the dealerships rely on their Dealership Stamps for your book. Hi , yes I realise all you say may be true - But they did admit to checking the items and say they where all ok , So as I maintain I have paid for something that has not been done - I myself was in the motor and heavy goods industry for over thirty years , so perhaps I am the wrong person to have them try and pull the pull over my eyes , and yes I could have quite easily done the myself , but I like to drive the motor car - not mend it , I have a old Land Rover to do that with
scubapics
You don't need to go to a dealer to service your car during warranty period - and that's a European regulation. http://www.thecarexpert.co.uk/new-car-warranty-servicing

stuarty
I bought my wife a 10 month old corsa a few years ago. Anyway i negotiated the first service in with the purchase price. I asked for the service to be carried out before delivery. When i picked up the car i had a funny feeling that it had not been serviced, but the service book was all stamped. I questioned it with the sales manager and a few days later he confirmed it had not been serviced. The workshop foreman had been stealing service parts for homers. They got the police involved and when they checked the guys locker it was full of stuff. I got a 3 year service plan for free. The dealer asked me to keep it to myself as they could lose there franchise over it. Also they would have to recal cars.
