BulletMagnet
Wonder if there is applications for this on a Zed? Full underbody treatment maybe? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfUaKXasdD4
Ekona
Looked into that stuff recently. Sadly it doesn't last very long right now, however I'm very excited for what it could mean in the future if they can perfect it. Imagine car paint made of that stuff. You'd never wash a car again! Other non-automotive uses would be kitchen worktops, bathrooms, waste pipes (they'd never block!), spectacles... The list is endless really. The Bounty Bar Kid
Tres cool! I'd get my underwear covered in that stuff before getting in a car with my sister driving!
Ebized
Amazing...... quick google helps the understanding The video was posted by UltraTech, a Florida-based company that specialises in spill containment products. In just two months it has received more than one million views online. The company claim that Ultra-Ever Dry will protect in temperatures ranging from -30F to 300F but they say abrasion might affect performance. The coating is pricey, costing $57.95 for the base coat and the top coat is $100.95 a quart. The instruction video recommends users wear goggles and protective gear before applying the coating. Nanotechnology is used to create a barrier of air on its surface so that liquids run off objects that are coated

So, your underwear would still stay dry, while you still wet yourself. I'd coat the car seats instead, lol
rtbiscuit
car underseal with that in would be good.

longsh07
That's some pretty impressive stuff! Would make a great clear coat for paintwork. Looks like it leaves a white tint at the moment judging by the boots at the end of the video.
Ekona
Toilets would be great, taking eco flush one step further This is my exact point, coat the inside of waste pipes/toilets/urinals/traps in that stuff and you would never, ever block it up as it would be 99% impossible to do. Okay, so it'd put me out of business, but I reckon there's a good line in installing waste pipe like that instead.
Dblock
Don't they do something like this for mobiles?
BulletMagnet
Don't they do something like this for mobiles? I've heard about that months ago, but don't trust it, purely because of the simple fact that at one point you might be using headphones, thus breaking the seal

BulletMagnet
Imagine developing a skin cream like that, never have to wipe my bottom ever again and put the entire toilet paper industry out of business and saving forests of the world

leonk
car underseal with that in would be good. Was thinking that RT, plus the wire wheels on the E type that trap water. Very interesting but put off a bit by Dan's research saying it doesn't last long.

TheMacDaddy
Cool stuff, like ultra-Scotch Guard. If you sprayed a cat with it, attached buttered toast to its feet and threw it in a bath you've got to be pretty close to a perpetual motion machine. My cat is giving me funny looks now...
