Keyser
Evening all, Following on from Busters front speaker upgrade - he lost the plot! He decides today we should upgrade his rear speakers - OK We stripped out the plastic and this was under the strut brace cover Not having that gash job so got out one of my crimbo pressies and sorted it there and then and the other side Much neater They are for the rear suspension adjusters Anyway Bob then takes out the OEM rear speakers Not the delirious look on his face!! Now most folks upgrade to a nice set of 17cm speakers but Not Buster O NO! 6x9 Black air Vibe's only slightly bigger than the OEM speakers So we marked up the difference Nothing that an air saw won't sort out cut out Bit of neatening up and smooth the sharp edges extend the cables Line them up Screw them down Replace trim OMG you can hear the back speakers now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

spursmaddave
Nice one Bob, luckily my replacements were the right size so I didn't need a saw If you like it now just wait till you get a decent amp in there too unbelievable difference
drginger
Hi guys im thinking about buying some front 2-way speakers for the zed. Planning to spend up to £100 will this be enough to make a good difference? Also after lots of reading im still not quite sure if adding aftermarket speakers to the bose will cause me problems? Any advice would be appreciated!! Cheers

Any advice would be appreciated!! Cheers Either comps http://caraudiosecur...s_id/17378.html or coaxials http://caraudiosecur...ts_id/8403.html Best ditch all the Bose gear while you are there too. Personally saving up a budget to do this myself Edited March 10, 2013 by BulletMagnet

drginger
Well I am running a pioneer headunit and this weekend i did the wiring mod which eliminates the need for the line booster and it now sounds so much better! So I'm thinking if I just do the front speakers that will be enough to satisfy me as I don't really fancy running new amps and wiring everywhere etc. Thanks for the links those coaxials look like a winner for me providing they will run fine off the Bose amp!
