Seabee
Hey guys just wondering if anyone has any experience or know first hand what the 313 engine runs like on LPG and what sort of problems I can face, also any systems that would be best suited as I know some include a lube feeder as well. Any feedback would be appreciated as I'm looking to sell my car but LPG could swing it for me as my commute to work is changing from 15 miles a day to 45 lol
rtbiscuit
from memory, the zed doesn't like LPG few have tried, all I think ended up with ....bang
GT4 Zed
No it wouldn't you've made up your mind already. Let me put it this way: It is doable and done right will be trouble free. However if it cost 2.5k to do it you would have to be driving silly miles to recoup the cost and then start to save so it pointless. If you think the tuning costs are too much then it's curtains band aids don't work. But if you really want to reduce fuel costs then consider a cheap option like the D1 throttle controller and maybe an Uprev reflash to have a map to run 95ron fuel safely. This will only cost around 500-600 quid. But it's not like you are going to go from 25-50mpg which returns to my initial point.
stuarty
Why don't you keep the zed and use the cash that you would spend converting it to LPG on a diesel shed!

Cheap system will do this as most japanese cars have soft valves. A good system like prins will use valvecare and not do this. Plus the car is tuned on the lpg too. sparky370z
There is a member on here that has a 313 LPG with the prins system. He posted up the other day. Use the search function.
4RE Leather
Why don't you keep the zed and use the cash that you would spend converting it to LPG on a diesel shed! Now that I have go to see! A successful LPG Derv conversion!
4RE Leather
My neighbor was telling me he went to see a company near Heathrow about converting his car and whilst he was there he spotted a lambo and a 458 in the process of being converted to LPG! I am saying nothing.

Seabee
All good answers but no clear ones guys! I've spoken to one place who has priced me up for £1200 and that's with a flash lube system. One thing he did say however is I might have to decat my.car as Nissan cats apparently don't like LPG. He also said he can tune it so it runs up to 30% petrol if the car is being driven hard. Any more thoughts? Lol
4RE Leather
I say go for it. £1200 seems very cheap for a V6 as I was quoted £1700. It will be great to hear the results:) Edited February 9, 2013 by 4RE Leather
Seabee
To be honest I'm not looking for the cheapest lol its more worrying that you have been quoted £1700 and I've been quoted 1200 lol ahhh anyone know the best suited system? 4RE Leather
I think you need to do some research. Certainly a company that has been specialising in this for a while. Here are the details of the company that does all the high end sports cars. eurolpg.co.uk East lane Buisness Park 3 Boundary Road Wembly Middlesex HA9 7NA 0208 9040126 The guy that owns it is called Ibrahim His email is ikuzu@eurolpg.co.uk This was not the guy that quoted me £1700 by the way. I just know of people who have had theirs done there without any problems:) Edited February 9, 2013 by 4RE Leather
Dblock
Personality I'd go prins or nothing. That was what I concluded after researching for a while.

Seabee
*update* the £1400 is a Romano fitted with a flashlube system, Ive been pricing/willing to pay for the prins kit but my nearest dealer for them is almost two hours away! so im wondering do I pay 1400 for a Romano kit thats guranteed for two years and the dealer lives about 10 minutes away (www.lpgwales.com) or pay £1950 for the full prins kit. However any problems and its a two hour drive! ..... hmmmm

Its up to you but from everything I've read the prins system is so so much better. But its your money and I can understand 2 hours away when your car isnt working is hard. But worst case scenario it will still work on petrol.

Seabee
well doing further research apparently the prins system has the best injectors (Jap) which is why its so reliable but the ecu is made by AEB (Mid Range) thats pretty much all thats different, Also the valve care lube is electronically controlled as opposed to a vacuum controlled one that I think ive been priced up for.
