daveparkin
Hi, I've just replaced my battery, and when I checked before, threads on the forum seemed to suggest that the Bose didn't have a security code, but that it was linked to the ECU and car VIN number? However, I have just changed my battery, and the radio now asks for a CODE. Can anyone confirm that theirs needs a code after the battery is changed? What info do the dealers need to get the code? Thanks, Dave
Toothy
Mine needed a code last week after i disconnected the head unit to do the "iPod hack" I called my local Nissan dealer and he was able to give me the correct pin, and didn't charge anything. You will need the make and model of your stereo and some the serial number on it, plus your VIN number. The only way to get the numbers on your stereo is by removing it though
