JetSet
So armed with the new info i got from the other completed listing can anyone help with if this is a UK model or Import? and if anything looks dodgy ? The new photos reveal a U.K rear bumper plus parking sensors. The final piece of the jigsaw is the six button steering wheel. Conclusion, a U.K GT that's either had a respray or is a one off that's been specially ordered by a dealer. Pete

Pete Thanks Pete So it sold for £4,990 is auction and they are now selling it less than a week later the new buyers for £1k more pretty much, what do you think is a sensible price to offer these guys. dragon
i'd say its uk mod, but in your post on the specs list it says colour is yellow!! so must have been sprayed.
deankenny
yes its been resprayed Ice White, i think the respray looks pretty cool So tempted to just grab a train and buy this tomorrow!!
JetSet
This car was originally Blade Silver, in fact it is still registered with the DVLA as Silver. Having read through the description it would seem that the car has probably been wrapped rather than resprayed. Pete
deankenny
Forgive my ignorance, what is the difference between wrapped and sprayed?
JetSet
Forgive my ignorance, what is the difference between wrapped and sprayed? Basically wrapping is applying a thin coloured skin of cellophane over the car, if done properly the outcome can be awesome although I'm not really a great fan of it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLsmPbPyE00 Pete
deankenny
wow never knew that could be done, so can you still use normal car wax on wrapped cars for a good shine? Or is there special products for wrapped cars?
JetSet
As far as I know you can carry on washing it as you did before as long as you don't use a jet wash or take it to the local car wash. As different wrappers use different materials it'd be best to find out who wrapped the car and what special treatment it needs. Reading the blurb on a couple of car wrapping sites the wrap lasts about 5 years. Pete
deankenny
5 years!!! then what, it starts peeling or something, the ad says the carbon roof is wrapped but doesnt mention main bodywork, i think i wouldnt get on with a wrapped car

ilogikal1
What do you guys think of this, anything dodgy looking about this? http://www.pistonhea...v6-2004/1056558 Yes. The spoiler. The panel gap between the hideous bumper and the bonnet doesn't look even to me either but it could just be the angles of the pictures. Other than that, just the spoiler. Did I mention the spoiler?
