rabbitstew
Lift at work got stuck, so I went to open it. Had the engineer's key and it wasn't on the 3rd floor. It wasn't on the 2nd floor. It was on the 1st floor, not inbetween floors as I had previously thought. So when I put the key in, it opened. And I had my finger in the keyring for the key. So when the door opened, it pulled the key and my finger inbetween the two doors. I pulled my hand away and then went to get the key out as the door was stuck open. It was only then, once I got the key out that I realised that my finger hurt and looked down to see loads of blood. Washed it off and then that's when I realised that the keyring had ripped part of my finger off. Only a small hole. About the size of the fingernail. Went to A&E, had it bandaged up. Happened last week Wednesday morning.
glrnet
Outside of work I have nothing to do but wash my car and go on here. Best come down the ZedShed for the weekend we can find plenty of things for you to do building a Mini
The Bounty Bar Kid
Pictures of my finger... Came out of hospital with finger wrapped like this... Didn't take a pic of finger with initial damage. But found a bit of my finger on the lift floor later... On Saturday, I woke up to find the bandage had come off in my sleep... Then when I replaced the bandage again on Monday morning... Then this morning... Edited February 7, 2013 by The Bounty Bar Kid

I have pics if anyone has the stomach for it! Not that bad IMO, I found it hilarious. Rubber gloves don't prevent water going inside them when I put my hand in the wash mitt and then into a bucket full of water

Arran
Love washing/detailing my cars, I'm an avid detailer it gives me huge satisfaction to stand back after 2 days of detailing and seeing the results, the effort doesn't go unoticed when random people stop to say how good the car looks. Just this moment finished my first days detailing on the Z, first time I've had a chance since owning it, got tomorrow left to finish it can't wait til it's done First days method was Snow foam using orange valet pro foam Rinse car then wash wheels/calipers with detailing brush and bilberry wheel cleaner Wash car with wool mitt, 2bm using dodo juice born to be mild IronX car and wheels Rinse car then clay using megs clay and megs speed detailer (only use this as lube not a quick detailer, don't rate it much) Rewash car same as step 3 Dry using wooly mammoth towel and quick detailed using finishkare 425 just for overnight protection until I restart tomorrow
Beau
Unless you're doing heavy miles, is it really necessary to be washing your car twice a week...secondly is it good for the pain work? Before winter came I give all my cars a nice wax to protect it from the salt and rubbish on the roads, and try to wash them at least once every 6 weeks or so. Once the weather dries up I'll then give her another proper wash and wax leading up to summer. It's nice seeing them shiny, but couple miles later she looks dirty again

HEADPHONES
In the years B.C (before children) I used to treat my baby to the full monty every month or so with a wash every week. Nothing could beat caressing the paint near the door handles after a good waxing. The slippery slick feeling as my fingertips gently brushed against the paint. All smooth and glasslike sparking off signals of delight up my arm, to the back of my neck all the way to my brain giving a warm buzzing feeling. After a light shower......admiring the little beads of water on her......which would sometimes trickle down her flanks drawing my gaze across her bodywork as it did so accentuating her luscious curves. I've no idea why my wife says I have an unhealthy obsession with the Zed :b I now try and spend as much time as possible with my two little'uns. Switched from wax to sealants from Gtechniq which is still beading great since September! Wash every 1-2 weeks at night when kids asleep. CAN'T BEAT A WELL CLEANED CAR.......IT'S LIKE GETTING A BRAND NEW CAR!
JetSet
I may be in the minority here......and those who have "spotted" me will have assumed this but it's a bit of a chore for me... ready for a flaming here Same here really, I just hose it down now and again. However, when the mood strikes me and the weather is good I can spend the entire day on the Zeds. One of the reasons I don't do much in the winter is ..A, I don't like the cold and..B, our lane gets incredibly muddy due to vehicles reversing down and churning up the sodden verges. It's a very narrow lane and not really wide enough for a refuse lorry who is the main culprit. Pete

The Bounty Bar Kid
I love my finger more than I my zed. It's my camera trigger finger and helps me with so many things. Esp cooking. Such a hassle not being able to get it wet, or bend it or do anything with it.
