st519
A little bit late with a 'thank you' but since the car was checked-in for plastic surgery I didn't have time to drive it after picking it up on the 19th Jan. My car is a UK 55 plate Black Roadster, 45000 miles. It had HEL brake lines, 19 " Rota GTRs, Invidia G200 exhaust. Was booked in for the stage 1 upRev, velocity stack, plenum spacer, berks HFC. Also had the Hawks pads, Stoptech Discs, brake fluid change and 4 wheels alignment. The car felt completely different after the upgrade. The throttle is much more reponsive now which is great. The exhaust is slightly louder after fitting the HFC which is expected. It is more lively and the downshift is quite aggressive now with the engine revving more freely. The engine is ready to push when I downshift whereas before it needed some 'encouragement' to get ready for another push. When I swapped the alloys the front steering was really light but after the alignment everything is back as it should be. Never a fan with the standard brakes but since it won't last for a long time we decided it is better to get it done. It is much better and consistent. Mark even adjusted the annoyingly high hand brake for me (I forgotten about it) I have been to various 'Specialists' during my Honda days. One up North is good, a couple down south didn't really deliver the expected result even at 120 an hour. Don't think I will take my Zed anywhere else from now on. Great service. Kept in touch with Scott all the way through. Mark explained the work before and after + walk through the Dyno print out with me and also assure me the engine is not in bad shape, which is a peace of mind that you can't buy. Afterall, he has seen + tuned plenty of engines. It is good that I am not too close to Abbey, when I left there were 2 other Zeds there. He showed me the engine of the blue one with Turbo. I am not a fan of turbo so after speaking to him a bit more I ALMOST handed my credit card over and supercharged the car. That will probably lead to a divorce and sleeping in the Zed so I am glad that I am just close enough to do some work but far enough so that I won't end up doing everything there can be because they are just down the road
