JamesDM90
Hi, I'm a new member to forum and looking to buy a 350z. Iv been to view a car that I'm quite interested in but looking for some advice before purchasing. The rear subframe, I think iv seen it referred to a the K frame, appears to be heavily corroded, is this common? Does the subframe cause many problems? Any help would be much appreciated. Keyser
Rear subframe is ally so should be fine, The W brace that goes across in front of the rear wheels yes they get rusty. Edit: and Edited January 31, 2013 by Keyser
rtbiscuit
Most bodyshops can give it a clean up and paint in a protecting agent down there if you want it for around £

Dblock
As above if your really concerned try to stick something through it. Its most likely surface rust.
sloutrou
Look to see if there are any hairline cracks on either side, mine had one on each side!? and a new subframe involves dropping most of the rear of the car out, it's finding a garage who is prepared to do that sort of work.
