MITZ@CougarStore
Welcome to the forum, Marc, for the same sort of money, you could get a newer Zed...
Bockaaarck
Hi Marc, welcome aboard Sounds reasonable, possibly a little overpriced, but if the mileage is that low and the service record is good you have some peace of mind. Why not post up a link to the Zed, then we might be in a better position to offer advice.

370Ad
All depends on condition etc. If it has just been MOT'd serviced Tax and had new tyres then it would be trouble free motoring for a year. Silver Z's tend to be cheaper so is slightly overpriced.

m9rcl
should i get an accident/hpi check on this if its from a reputable garage, they sell anything from lambo's to ferraris and aston martins so no backstreet job!
WhackyWill
Welcome to the forum..Sound a bit over priced, get them to throw in a years warranty and a HPI Report. You could get a newer one for less but maybe with a higher milage which is not a problem to a Zed...I got a really nice 2006 in black with 80k on it and full history and a nice few extras for £6.5k. Good Luck.
st519
Make sure the warranty covers everything. I bought one off a trader, first the soft top started leaking, then exhaust broke (it will happen sooner or later if it is standard), boot leaking plus numerious other problems (Within 3 months) and took £££ to fix. When I called the guy kept batted me back with wear and tear I can only leave a bad review on Google. I don't put too much on the Dealer service as the one at Ipswich replaced the brake fluid but only bled one of the hose. The usual remember to check air filter and oil to see if a service was done and not claimed to be done. If it is a P3 it is even better because it is 300+ with Nissan. At least 500 off on the price.

Marc, you're about to spend £8500 on a car......I think you know the answer to this question already, get an HPI done, no point in messing around. I still think you should post a link up, it always allows us a better oppotunity to offer advice to you

WhackyWill
Its a lovely car but £9k is a lot of money for a 2004 350Z GT. When you want to sell it on you will loose a bundle.
Bockaaarck
Looks pretty tidy Marc, as they've sold the car before you've perhaps got an opportunity to query them a bit about the sales history, which is good. The number plate rings a bell for some reason, don't know why, could just be me to be fair. Wonder if we've got any members nearby who could have a nose at it with you? Based on the add, looks like a good car. Slightly overpriced as indicated but if you can check the servicing as suggested, get £500 knocked off and perhaps get a few bits thrown in on top, then that doesn't look a bad buy. rabbitstew
this is the link http://www.redlinesp...-300-gt-3dr-186 including 12 months warranty, service etc Am i missing something? I thought old 2004 ones like this only had 276bhp, not the 300bhp these guys are claiming. Personally I think its overpriced. Id have expected it to be maybe £7k. You can nearly get a 2007 313 HR engined one for the same sort of money. Id also factor in, can you really afford the running costs? If your paying mega top wack for a car, like I did when I bought my zed, you will loose a lot. I lost £600 a month in depreciation alone. On top of that I was spending £500 a month on fuel and then normal "running costs" like tax, insurance, service, tyres etc.. all cost another £300 or so a month. Not a cheap car to run. Was costing me twice what my mortgage was each month! Edited January 31, 2013 by rabbitstew
m9rcl
they offered it to me for 8500 all in with warranty, mot, service etc
370Ad
For a clean example at a garage which is always a premium this car isn't that overpriced. Everyone always goes on about getting theirs for this and that for that etc but the proof is in the pudding. A 276bhp model with similar spec and mileage sold privately on here in September 2012 for £8250 so for getting this for £8500 with 12 months warranty is pretty good going. All the ones that are priced cheap are high mileage and that always depreciates the car, especially the Z. I got offered £8200 for mine in January and that's and 04 DE model. A similar spec/condition 313 model is 10k plus. Edited January 31, 2013 by 350Ad

370Ad
thanks 350AD, going for a look and test drive this weekend. Is there anything to look for in particular? # Try and drive on a road with speed humps. If the front ends clunks you either need drop links/compression arm bushes. Drop links are around £150 fitted and compression bushes are £250ish fitted. Both are common fail points. Clicky rear axle is more annoying than a fail point. It can be greased up for less than a tenner and that solves the issue, just requires a bit of DIY time. Bose and sometimes window motors are the only electrical problems i know of. Exhaust section between back box and mid pipe also sometimes fails are this age.
m9rcl
its just had £1430 worth of work done on brakes and lower suspension, is this unusual?
370Ad
its just had £1430 worth of work done on brakes and lower suspension, is this unusual? Well 500 could be bushes/drop links and the rest could be discs/pads all round. An expensive garage but I have seen worse.
VR46
Welcome to the forum! As some of the guys above have said above you stand to loose out on resale in the future due to it being an older model. Unless you are doing a fair few miles I'd go for a newer one with more miles on it personally and get a
