Shaun1982
Hi guys. Has anyone ever had either of their leather seats stop reclining & lifting the back? The seat moves as a whole but it won't move the rear back forwards, wondered if its a new seat job or a fairly simple fix? Thanks in advance
spursmaddave
Could be a motor, could be a connection Should be fixable either way I reckon
Shaun1982
Thanks Dave. It's a car I've bid on that ends tonight, fingers crossed if I win it it won't be an expensive job

4RE Leather
I, also would go with the motor not having power to it:)
Shaun1982
Hmm I wonder how much the motor is then. Take it its two separate motors for the reclining & sliding?

Shaun1982
Yeah I don't blame, I'm sure I remember seeing a seat for £50 on here not long ago, noises of its condition mind. I'm sure if I win this car ill be posting, ill worry about the seat then lol

Shaun1982
Nope, lost out by £100 to a bid with 6 seconds to go
M13KYF
Have you checked the connectors under the seat to see if they are loose. Happened to others before
coldel
Just for reference mine did the same, a little bird on here advised me to tap the switch with a small hammer and blow out any debris around the switch. Three minutes and zero cost later I had a working seat again.

Shaun1982
Ah well eh, I reckon he's had someone put a bid in to make sure it doesn't go too cheap, his email the other day said for close to £6500 he would end it. Wouldn't be surprised to see it relisted. I'll try share the eBay link
Shaun1982
Here we go, should be able to still get the photos up. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251211838428?redirect=mobile
Shaun1982
So, not surprisingly the car is now back up for sale. Think I might of been right in thinking they got someone to bid to stop it going for less than they wanted. Annnnyyywho its now on here: http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/350z-pearl-white-9-months-mot-3-months-tax/1007983289 So I text as the ad says to & offered £5200 again which was my bid on eBay. Edit: just had a conversation via text with the guy about it. Could well be going to see it next saturday Edited January 27, 2013 by Shaun1982
davetstan
82000 miles seems a bit high to me for the price Shaun. Go for one at 65k instead. Much better :-)
Shaun1982
Sounds & looks like a much better plan Dave
