jumping350
Had oil changed other day from Castroll magnatec to motul, got import so guage reads 2,4,6,8 with 4 being middle of guage, pressure seems lower than before, just under 2 at idle and at 4 at 2.5k 70mph,is this normal? Just worried as wasn't this low before,OS it due to oil viscosity change from casyrol to motul?
Shinjuku
Four bar is about 60 psi isn't it. If so I think that's about right.
glrnet
What are the ratings of the old an new oil? Did you change like for like?
SteveW
Yes 1 bar = 14.7psi My car idles at just under 30psi so just under 2 always has. 4 bar at those revs sounds about right.

ThriftyFifty
Idle should be 2 bar - Usually idled mine until it went from 7 bar to 2 bar before running it properly. By time you hit 2 bar, your coolant temp should be 1/3 on dial. This was also running Motul. Edited January 16, 2013 by ThriftyFifty
