Builder49
Hi guys Anyone with any thoughts or experiences regarding the 4.2 v8 quattro S5? Ive read a bit about the issues with the fuel injection system and carbon, but as a complete numpty where engines are concerned i'm not sure of the real implications? As usual, I know some of you regular forum genius types will be happy to offer your opinions. Thanks in advance Paul.
S1 HNK
If you can afford the fuel bills go for it! Lovely cars and now at very tempting money.
Ekona
As a DFi application, you will always get more carbon build up in the combustion chamber than a non-DFi one, and by all accounts the Audi lump is quite bad for this. That said, I suspect there's a lot of specialists out there now that can take care of this for you, albeit I doubt it's cheap. Plenty of 10K Boost will help prevent this though. You're more likely to come up against more usual running costs though: Check costs of brake discs and dampers.
