Darren-B
Same spec but the one before it. Mine doesn`t have touch screen, it has a remote. Be warned though, I`ve had trouble with mine & PLX are VERY UNHELPFUL & DO NOT PLAY BALL WITH CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS. I have an issue with my control unit emitting some kind of signal that disrupts GPS aerials & the radio signal. When the unit is plugged in it reduces the signals massively. I`ve tried repositioning the device all around the car, different power sources & basically if its powered up within 2metres of the car the radio & GPS signals are affected I should hope that this is just a one off issue with my particular device, but with the lack of customer service & PLX being situated in the US I can`t easily knock on their door & hit them in the face with it. Personally from my experience with PLX I would NEVER buy anything from them again & would not recommend them to anyone. On the other hand it does do what it says on the box, apart from you can only organise daisy chained modules on the main screen. You can`t pull obd modules & mix them with an additional module. For example I wanted to monitor 4 sensors, Oil temp, water temp, afr & inlet temp(obd-2) You can`t add the obd sensor to the list.
Adrian@TORQEN
Thank you, I'll have a think about it then, it's a shame... Was the Cosworth Twin Plenum worth doing it in terms of power upgrade vs money spent - approx £900 from ZMANALEX? How much more power / whp after fitting it and remap? Sam Mcgoo
Good post Adrian. Its already quite informative. Let me know if I can help at all. If I can, I will. Regarding the oil feed to your vortech - does it have the brass nozzle/Jet or is it stainless steel? If it is the brass one I would highly recommend getting the up-rated Stainless steel one as the Brass ones can crack. If it does you will run your charger dry and loose all your engine oil! Luckily I noticed mine had a crack in it and was weeping while I was giving the car a service and caught it before it failed. Stainless ones available from Superchargersonline.com
Adrian@TORQEN
Thanks Sam! I just need to decide what parts I need to get as per my original post, such as injectors, intercooler, oil cooler, etc I got some ideas from what I've seen on the American forums, but we could always use the expertise available from UK people If you have time going through my first post here, what parts are you using in your setup? Thanks a lot!
OllyB
Cjm stage 0, injecter dynamics 725s and walboro pump. Just need the blower to match now. Edited January 6, 2013 by OllyB
Mark@Abbey m/s
Hi, we use CJ stage 0 fuel system, 725cc ID injectors , walbro fuel pump, Uprev GT mad and 8 heat range spark plugs To tune will take around 5 hours work. I can supply all these parts and will upload a good start map to your ECU. I would fit a greddy sump, 19 row oil cooler (Abbey will have a full oil cooler kit soon brackets/ducts and pipe work. Any more questions ask away.

GT4 Zed
Hey Addy, sorry I missed your call but this thread is very informative and would help anyone who is planning sc-ing or even those who have this installed. Good you got the kit. I can't believe it didn't go sooner. Eg the fitting advisory provided by Sam is invaluable and I will be addressing this when installing my kit. From my research and talking with Mark @ abbey This are my supporting parts list. My kit. Vortech V2 T trim tuner kit polished 2.87 pulley I hope I have enough money left to pc the whole it black for stealthness EXTRA PARTS: 1. FUEL RETURN SYSTEM AAM Competition 350Z Stage 1 Fuel Return Kit OR AAM Competition 350Z Basic FRS OR CJM Stage 1 Return Fuel System Kit OR CJM Stage 0 Return Fuel System I prefer CJM and going for the stage 0 will upgrade to stage 1 with dampers only if I go forged someday. 2. INJECTORS: Injector Dynamics 725Cc OR DeatschWerks 600cc Top Feed Injectors Mark uses both frequently but prefers the IDs so I'd go with that. I just hate that they are not plug and play like the DWs. 3. FUEL PUMP Aeromotive Stealth 340LPH In Tank Fuel Pump with Setup Kit is my choice but the DW 300 pump is an option and the Walbro 255 should be fine. 4. INTERCOOLER: Turbonetics Spearco 24x7.9x 3.5. For me. Same height and core as the standard vortech cooler only 4 inches wider core. So will fit with retained crash bar. 5. OIL PAN SPACER AAM COMPETITION 350Z ENGINE OIL PAN SPACER OR JWT JIM WOLF TECHNOLOGY OIL PAN SPACER W/ PORT 350Z Either would be fine provide about an extra litre of oil and cheaper than the other fancy stuff. I have AAM. 6. 1 STEP COLDER SPARK PLUGS HKS 50003-M40HL Iridium M-Series Super Fire Racing Spark Plugs Ill go with these as Mark prefers them. 7. GAUGES - A/F, BOOST, OIL TEMP Not a fan of any gauges other than OEM. Pointless. I'll rather spend more on a perfect tuning solution with active fail safes rather than watch passive gauges. 8. OIL COOLER WITH THERMOSTAT Setrab 19 row cooler with Aeroquip -10 AN fittings and HEL -10 lines. Mocal thermostatic sandwich plate 9. OIL CATCH CAN : http://www.350z-uk.c...sted-and-prov Yup that's the one 10. LOW TEMPERATURE THERMOSTAT Mishimoto stat. 11. UPGRADED RADIATOR: Gone with Mishimoto with fans shroud and larger 12' fans. 12. FLUIDS ENGINE: Any fully synthetic oil will be fine. 5w30 or 5w 40 I stopped using Motul 300v too pricey. Been happy with Gulf competition (oilman recommended) with my oil cooler and lines and spacer I require 6.7l now and would expect to need about 7l factoring the SC and lines. GEARBOX: Redline MT 90 . Best for the GB. I have tried all! I'm about to try the Redline lightweight shock proof oil for anIy of track use protection. 2.9l needed REAR DIFF: Motul, gulf or silkolene. Used all no issues. 1.2L 13. OIL FILTER. I hate the OEM vortech mushroom filter and would do the CAI mod like Sam mcgoo did but will use the Apexi cone filter. Don't forget CLUTCH/BRAKES/COOLANT Always used Motul RBF 660 and Motul coolant. All available from Opie. 14. ENGINE DAMPER Stillen Dampener. My choice too. In galls to expensive. I also added the torque solutions transmission mount and make the gear action riffle precise and take away the OEM sloppiness. I'm sure the short shifter also helps. 15. STAINLESS STEEL CLUTCH LINE I got HEL for about 2yrs now so no complaints. Cheaper to. CS stock these. 15.Cosworth Twin Plenum Inlet. Personally I think it too much money for little benefit. I got a used Kinetic SSV for £300! MD plenum spacer would be ok IMO. Plus MRE2 for those with revup engines. TUNING MAF sensor : MAF GT if tuning with Uprev. I'm still to decide which tuning solution to go with. But I have to say I fancy the Syvecs S6. Just waiting on Mark to address the revup/ HR specific issue which should be surmountable MISCELLANEOUS I have gone for these for peace of mind. I'll add the links to these later. - Replace all IC worm clamps with T bolt clamps - Complete uprated Z1 motorsports silicon hoses kit. - Pathfinder coolant mode. - 928 BLV to limit my boost at my chosen target. - Custom made "strafe auto" intake tube - Fluidampr crank pulley Edited January 6, 2013 by GT4 Zed
