downhuman
Anyone got these fitted? Considering getting some? Do they literally 'stick on'? Any pics from any owners? Cheers, Rob This is what I'm referring to: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370326791229?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Arran
I have a set waiting to go on, you have to take off your old ones and either stick or bond these on. I'm using a really good bonding tape from work called butyl tape. Sticks like @*!# to a blanket The quality of the sills is excellent, beautiful finish. I got mine directly from ep racing
downhuman
So you remove the plastic kick plate only, then bond to the paint? Is that right? Easy job? Thanks

downhuman
Arran - are you going to retro fit a badge to them?
Arran
I'm going to leave them plain, looks a lot nicer Will be easy to fit, first of all take the old ones off, then clean the paint underneath and around with either shampoo or an apc, make sure it's completely dry, then depending on how your going to attach them it's probably best to let them bond into position by leaving some tape over them for a few hours. Once done stand back and admire!
spursmaddave
Not sure what make my CF ones were are I got them 2nd hand but mine just replaced the OEM ones no bonding or anything
downhuman
How do the old ones come off mate? One screw and then 'pop' off the clips?
spursmaddave
Dont think there were any screws.... I think I just pulled off the lower door trim and yanked them off : shrug: I have the old ones in the cupboard hang on will take a pic
spursmaddave
Here you go... There may have been a screw here? Can't remember either a screw or a plastic clip... And here you can see where the clips are so you know where to give it a good yank  4 clips

spursmaddave
I am always very helpful, just sometimes irrelevant... Oh and very very occasionally just ever so slightly sarcastic, or so I am told...

downhuman
It's nice being involved in a decent club with helpful people. Some car clubs suck. Good crowd on here though.

spursmaddave
Here you go fella No screw just a plastic popper I pulled off the platic trim, be careful as it is a very thin flimsy bit, but you can see from the pic the white bits where it is held down so where to apply the pressure : wink: And then lift up the rubber door seal and your there
downhuman
oooh, nice thanks. The Goki ones just seem to be 'smooth' so dunno what make yours are? Are they 'real' carbon or dinoc / dipped OEM plates?

Are they 'real' carbon or dinoc / dipped OEM plates? They look like real CF to me, you can tell by the weave. The stoking ones are just plain, but you could add a Z badge to them

spursmaddave
Thanks Jim I think Yes they are the real deal, CF replacement parts. As I said they just fit where the OEM ones came off so not sure why these other ones need bonding etc unless they are just a cover If they are just a cover I would just use 3M tape as then they will be easy to remove, not like they are going to fly off anywhere is it
spursmaddave
I only have about 20+ bits of CF in/on my Zed so does that really make me a whore
