Transmission rattle

Hi I have an 2004 Z with 53K miles on the clock.

I've had it coming up for 5 years and it had about 26K when I got it.

Soon after I got it it developed a transmission rattle. It would never rattle when I took it to a garage to check and only did it every now and then at slow speed in town and when it was cold (so I thought)

It seems to rattle most of the time now. Not when it is out of gear. I thought it was the clutch or maybe a bracket rattling. Sometimes it stops/starts when I push the clutch in. When I had it serviced they said it was nothing to worry about but they could not say what it was.

Its only a quiet rattle but it bugs me - ither people don't even notice it.

Any ideas anyone?

Regards

Trev

Probably the flywheel Trevor.

Dual mass and single mass flys in stock.

Also best to swop out the clutch when the box is out.

All in stock and good to go same/next day.

However, best to get this diagnosed professionally before you splash the cash.

Drop me a PM if I can help you further.

Alex. :)

I hear a little bit of this as well but to me it seems like I'm not quite in the right gear, ie I hear it in 3rd when really I should be in 2nd. But if I just put my foot down it's instantly gone.

Alex will be getting a clutch/flywheel order from me at some point soon anyway :) (more for peace of mind rather than it feels like it requires doing)
