oderuyter
Hey Guys, Opportunity to get one of these at a basement price anyone installed one or used one? I'm an Android user, so android friedn review welcome, just wanted to know. Also where is it fitted, does it replace the head unit or can it fit in the sat nav cubbie? Thanks
spursmaddave
They are bargain price because they are not that good.... All show and no go in my opinion
spursmaddave
You wouldn't get a HU in the satnav cubby not a lot of room back there DD replaces the HU satnav cubby you can get a screen or slim tablet there not a lot else...
Merlin2002
Just fitted one today as a birthday present to my self... Can't really complain works as it should and cheap cheap...got it from amazon 215 delivered.... I'm an iPhone user tho
spursmaddave
Fair enough for £215 you can't complain They look realky nice, I can't see the point of having a HU that links apps from your phone just a gimmick I guess

Worth getting for £150 and then get a iPod for music though....
taras
Good head unit for its price. Better than the ebay crap at the same price range. But only get it if you have iphone 4 series otherwise all you have is a fancy satnav.

dave_c
Cheers for the link, just bought this. Even if it is a bit crap, at least it looks fairly stock! May need to downgrade my iphone 5 to a 4s by the looks of things!
sjcdeans
anyone got one of these installed? how hard is it to hook it up to a bose fitted sound system? As thinking of replacing my skipping/left chanel bose HU
dave_c
In theory it should be easy, I'll do mine next weekend, just needs the wiring harness which is about £35 and the steering wheel adaptor which is £4!
Merlin2002
anyone got one of these installed? how hard is it to hook it up to a bose fitted sound system? As thinking of replacing my skipping/left chanel bose HU Well I've fitted mine using the correct harness... There isn't enough RCA outs on the headunit only 2 for read, but I've tried som high to low converters for the front...but still not happy, gona have another play without using the RCA out on the stereo and without then high low converter.... Other than that all good and fits spot on with the correct surround etc etc... The steering wheel controls seam to be a little restricted that i have found so far, but I've only had it since Friday in the car...in my opinion it's a good setup for the cash...satnav is free... Charges your phone....plays music from my iphone...which is really all I wanted it for...and the Bluetooth works spot on with my iphone so far...tested that last night All in all a good unit....£215 for a pioneer or some cheap Chinese crap....If you want a true satnav double din new your looking at £400 minimum If anyone gets one and needs any help pm me....I'm new on here but been around the car and jap scene a fair few years Rob

dave_c
Thanks Rob, I wanna get my hands on the unit before I start taking advice or I'll be majorly confused! Is it possible to have the front speakers running off the headunit amp then the rear and sub on the original bose amp using the RCAs? dave_c
Or would an RCA splitter work?
Merlin2002
Or would an RCA splitter work? Ok here we go..... DO NOT USE THE RCA OUT....... Or you will not be very loud Instead the new harness will need som tinkering when you have it just rewiring mine now Rob
spursmaddave
Unfortunately only one set of RCAs thsts why I said its all show no go unfortunately it looks good for £150 but you could get a much better unit sound and connection wise for the money without all the 'features' A 'decent' unit will have 5 rca's front/rear and sub
