HEADPHONES
With the cold weather more electrics on maybe? Using the AC more to demist screen? Or are you leaving the car with a full tank and waking in the morning to find half empty......SLEEP DRIVING? :1:
The Bounty Bar Kid
Colder weather so heating on full blast?
SteveW
Mine is the same gone from average of 21mpg per tank to about 18 mpg. Mostly caused by waiting for the car to defrost in the morning. I've also noticed my car is idling a bit higher when the engines warm circa 1000rpm instead of usual 750rpm.
370Ad
Engine stays cold for longer in the winter so will use more fuel. Happens with all cars unfortunately!
stuarty
Just the cold weather!
Wasso
I thought it was more right foot action on the corners with this nice weather we're having.
marzman
Air is colder and denser. More air = more fuel.

RobPhoboS
My one is exactly the same, no difference at all. It must be the heatwave's we always get in surrey lads.
rabbitstew
I usually find my cars mpg drops a bit over winter. As others have said, I tend to have the heating on more, the air con on to demist window, the headlamps on. I may even treat myself to the heated seats first thing in the morning. Ive noticed my mpg drop by about 10%.
JetSet
Air is colder and denser. More air = more fuel. +2 and because the air is denser there'll be more air resistance too. Pete
Diab2005
The heated seats consume fuel????
Wasso
The heated seats consume fuel???? Anything electrical will create power drain and as such power = more fuel. If you turn on one light bulb, then put the kettle on, do some ironing and whack your electric oven on, the little disk in your electric meter goes quicker. More than live with that If its a Hyundai Coupe 2.0 then thats what I had before my Zed and I think the fuel consumption is pretty much identical

Shaun1982
I actually went zed, 1.6 golf which was boring as fook & not good on fuel, then BMW e46 318 coup, again hated that lol, finally onto the coupe, lovely car, very low miles & well speced but yeah it's about as entertaining as watching paint dry. Yeah fuel has gone up in price from my last one but I used £30 a week in it & I get about the same as the zed. 2.0 141bhp is shocking
