The Bounty Bar Kid
So I've read up on how to change the badges, but some have suggested to me that I lacquer them as the finish dulls easily. Any tips on how to lacquer properly? I have many cans of Halfords clear lacquer, from when I did some stuff for work. These are the badges I bought... Thanx in advance peeps! Dblock
I hate laquering as usually its thin and it runs. Shake cans for ages, time yourself doing it. Thin, very thin coats I have found stops running. Turn the can upside down and spray once your finished to clear the nozzle.
SteveRS
Pulse on and off the nozzle as you move your arm right to left and hold the can away as instructed on the side. Try not to put too much on otherwise it will run. Less is more.
dErZ
Remember to warm the can up in hot water and then shake it for 2 mins.
oderuyter
Just make sure when you change direction with the can your not still spraying, make sure your overspray - yes its obvious but you would be amazed! One try we use for american football helmets is to hang on piece of string (then a piece of cotton in this case) twist the string up, so it spins when you release then start spraying up and down - just a nice tip, not sure if relevant on this one..... Also any actual tips on detagging the car to install these? Mine are in terrible condition and would love to replace!

Hair dryer or hot water to soften the glue (pull and pry with paint COVERED/PROTECTED). Then something like tardis or autoglym tar and bug to get rid of the residue glue. Meths also works and degreases the surface ready for the new one.
Whazza22
I warmed up the area with a hot sponge then used a length of fishing wire to slot behind the badge to break up the adhesive. Then removed the remaining adhesive with adhesive remover and polished with autoglym.
