TheMacDaddy
A bit of fun on a cold Friday morning. Thanks to Tarmac for supplying. Next up is the exhaust - Invidia Gemini + Berks HFCs - booked in with Mark @ Abbey on 14 December for fit and an uprev. Should be a fun day! Tarmac@TarmacSportz
Nice work, they are great intakes
sparky370z
Very nice. Got some great mods planned!
Kev T
Those intakes with exhaust and HFC will give great gains, you should see around 315 at the rear wheels.
TheMacDaddy
Should do yeah. Really looking forward to the dyno session at Abbey. Chris - I forgot to let you know that the exhaust and HFCs all arrived in perfect shape, so I'm all set, many thanks again. Only challenge now is working out if I can fit them in the Z for the drive down!
Tarmac@TarmacSportz
Lol, you should have said I would have sent them to Mark. Take it out the box and it will fit ok, Berks on passenger seat
Jay
Nice one mate I really need to install mine soon
Chris`I
Good work. Exhausts and bits should fit in, just wrap them up good and proper as the interior plastics mark easily. Mark liked my decoration of my Stillen exhaust with yellow Costco microfibres when he swapped mine back to stock
TheMacDaddy
Glad to know! A mate of mine wants to come down with me so it will only serve to increase the authenticity of the whole modding experience that he has to have two HFCs on his lap for the journey! ChrisUUC
Whats the power figures on these with the above intakes, exhaust, test pipes or high flow cats and uprev?
Jay
In certain cases stillens have produced 15bhp gain
Kev T
Before S/c i got 315 @hub with Y pipe, decats, HKS catback and Gen 3 intakes.
TheMacDaddy
Yeah spot on, same as me. I'm gonna post up the details and some pics once I get around to either getting Mark to email me the dyno plots or scan then in at work. With the Gen 3s, Berks HFCs and Invidia Gemini baseline power was +10 WHP on stock. Uprev and remap found another 10, so it's now +20 over stock: 314.7 at the wheels. Mark reckons you lose 35 through the transmission, so that's roughly 350 BHP. Throttle response is much improved thanks to the uprev too, drives like a proper beast now, although I've still to convince the wife about the new noise... Which super charger kit did you go for out of interest? Edited December 31, 2012 by TheMacDaddy
Kev T
After much research on the USA sites i decided the GTM kit was most reliable and made good power, the one restriction we have with RHD is only the stage one will fit and even that needs some modification work. TheMacDaddy
Yeah the Abbey boys recommended that one too. Right, time to start saving...
TheMacDaddy
Finally got all the pics together and scanned in those dyno results: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/66127-pics-stillen-gen3-berks-hfcs-invidia-gemini-uprev-remap/
