Guest prescience
Rob, Have you used this successfully with the Z - only the Z has a CAN-BUS system. Also, I am not sure what CAN protocol the car runs but I do recall that someone had tried one of these type of readers with different standard protocols on the Z without being able to read any parameters successfully. I'll try and find that info. but the guy who was trying it seemed to know his stuff. Not trying to p*ss on your chips - I'm sure you've used it successfully
Rob_Quads
Yes I have used this on my 350z. I can get some pictures & video if you want. I think you are getting mixed up in terminology. The CAN-BUS is the type of network the cars use, ISO is the specific protocol that the 350z and many other cars use.

No, I (think I) understand it but didn't explain it - I believe there are different protocols used by different manufacturers on OBD-II, not just one? Anyway, it sounds like it's all good - hope you didn't mind me asking
Rob_Quads
Ah yes there are different protocols i.e. all the VAG engines use a difference one and this would NOT work with them No Problems with questions - anything that clears any confusion up is good. Rob_Quads
I can supply a CD with some free software off the web. Unfortunatly the software I have - Digimoto can only be registered to a single machine. I could try contacting them and seeing if I can get another activation code.
